Oh, how did any one Ever make a movie or a short then. If you want to buy some kind of Stabilization buy a Stedicam. EVERY electronic Gimbal looks like crap. That stupid floating look. And it has No clue what you want to do as compared to what You tell a Stedicam what to do. Like I have said 100 times on here. Practice, Practice, Practice. There is No Cine cameras that have IBIS in them. So I don't see what the hell you would gain going that way. And most of them weigh a ton for a good reason. Buy a freaking Osmo Action and just be happy. Why the hell do people think if they buy a better camera they will be better! The camera is the least of most peoples problems.

Well I think it might be the best thing going for the money, but the big drawback is that the camera has a 1.6 crop factor to start with, but in 4K it adds on another 1.7 crop, and you loose DPAF. Damn near impossible to go really wide on one. So if you can live with those constants it is a really nice camera. You can put a Speedbooster on it and get it up to near FF size. So that is a plus. I have to admit I have been looking at maybe buying one myself. At my age I Need the EVF over the rear LCD on the EOS M I have. Still trying to figure out the ML part. ? I am not too sure Any of the normal Canon cameras have a Cinematic look to them without ML other than the 1DC to be honest. And I wouldn't call the C line cameras normal so... BMD seems to be the only cheap cameras that have a Cine look to them as far as I am concerned. Sure old Cine cameras like a Sony PMW F3, C100 do, but they are not so hot for what is in now. Run n Gun stuff. The Sony F3 is Terrible hand held. Stripped down the C100 is really not too bad.

Both company's have come a Long ways. Pretty amazing how the price difference is between the two of them, with close to the same results. The new Venice CS is pretty damn good now, and both are doing great with eye focus. Magic times we live in to have that kind of choice for so little money with the A6400.

Yeah the new Spyders are really quick to use, and most of it is just push a button and let it do it's thing. The old ones took Forever to calibrate, and like 20 steps at that. I am not familiar with other brands. They may be as good or better? I have for some reason always used Spyders.

Like I have showed before, this is Just a frame grab from my XS. Is it perfect no, does it suck no. First one is a Photo from it. Second one is using a Moment tele lens, third one the normal Apple lens using video also. All the colors are spot on right OOC. No editing on any of them. If isn't that good enough than I have no clue what you are wanting out of a Smartphone, or even whatever you shoot with.. The Apple iPhone XS series is just crazy good, even more crazy with the Filmic Pro app using the Log they have for it. Claimed 12.5 stops. Am I going to shoot a Netflix series with it no. But to say Phones are shit is not even close to being true in this day and age.

It doesn't matter what camera you use to take video with. If you have skill you can do anything. If you Don't have skill you can have a new Arri and make it look bad. This is not 1999, this is now, and anything is possible in this day and age. A hell of a lot of people on YouTube just use a GoPro and they make them look great. It is what is between your ears, not the camera. Excuses for poor video are over with. And with the Beastgrip you can adopt any lens ever made to a Smartphone. And you can go cheap as hell Anamorphic wise on them. How many lenses does a person Really need for video. 3 tops. All these stupid lenses most people have ends up just being a distraction from getting out and making a video. It ends up my dick is bigger than your dick stuff. It is more of a hobby than the shooting of the video it's self. Ohh, my 50 is better than your 50, get real. Little girl stuff.

What??? Phones take on average better video than most consumer cameras do. Better OIS, better colors, 3 lenses in some now, and hell even better DR with Filmic Pro than a lot of them. Low light well maybe, but most average "real" cameras suck in low light also. You must own a 5 year old phone. Hand your wife or girlfriend a Sony FS5 or a new Smartphone and see which ones takes better video.

EM1 cameras are pretty sweet no doubt. I regret selling mine. With the Battery Grip it fit my big hands great. Here is a short John Brawley video he shot using the original. Yeah I will give Olympus credit, they do improve their products long after launch. "AF low light limit -6EV support". That is pretty crazy when you think about it. In a sence the EM1-X is a bargain, but at 3000 Dollars for a m4/3 camera it is a hard sell. But for every half serious Birder, Antarctica shooter it is probably a dream camera. I would like one!

The beauty of the modern Panasonic cameras now is you can use the footage right out of the box if it is not super important. That is a huge time saver and a God Send for people not too familiar with Grading. Sort of a modern Canon C100 in that aspect. Their CS has gotten really good as of late. The Panny S1 I think is amazingly good. Well to be honest most of the top name cameras now have gotten very good CS wise. Glad to see it happening.

Why can't you just use a wireless mike? The type with the transmitter in them. You are not going to have enough luck to keep everyone standing in just one spot. People are nervous as hell and need to pace around. There is every type of person in the world at a wedding. You are not going to make all of them obey your rules. They are going to turn to toast the Bride, on and on. You think they are going to do that for the Garter thing, Cake Cutting, etc.? Ain't going to happen. Been there done that. And human randomness is what make's a wedding or event fun, maybe even embarrassing, but that is what you want. not stale as heck. People are too Wooden looking when you heard them like cats.

Yeah it might. I can't seem to find much info on repairing one. New they are like 219 Dollars for the whole grip. A C100 one is different. It might control it, but you can't mount it to the camera, or the C200 grip to the C100. You might not even be able to buy a C200 Handle cable at all. Just comes as one unit I guess for what I can tell. By the time you pay for labor just cheaper to buy a new one. If you have a C100 Handle you might just try it to see if it works.

Someone may have stretched the cable too far when it was off the body. Lots of variables that can happen, and few will admit it if that sort of thing does happen. Murphy's Law.

BM has not sold thousands and thousands of Any camera. They are a drop in the bucket of overall cameras sales. Probably less than 1%. And 95% of YouTube stuff is done with Smartphones and Canon cameras. Even the big boys use a Canon for the sit down interview stuff because of DPAF. And if you look at these graphs camera company's better find a new way to make money.
