Not that I know of, but it might be the new Sony a7s mk III sensor, and Sony is letting Panasonic work with it. Who the hell knows. But it Might be the Panny, Fuji sensor they have been working on forever. If so you would think Fuji would be announcing something special also.

I think it has to be more people than that to have their DSLR sales drop 50%. I doubt all those people ran out and bought a M50 or better Canon Mirrorless camera. I think Sony, Fuji hurt them as much as any, and a few Nikon fans. Canon shit around too long on the FF Mirrorless front, and then even came out with a half assed product. Stupid top management. As long as Sony is holding out on the new a7s mk III it might cost a lot, but it will probably be some amazing new camera that Really puts the others behind. Sony is not just going away like Samsung did. They have all the right cards now, why fold. But I will admit the a7s mk III delay is pretty crazy.

If it is a true Cine camera it might not even have Any photo mode. But the 6K thing sounds a lot like the 6K photo mode on the GH5. Soon find out I guess. And 20mp is plenty enough for 6K.

Some of these old cameras can flat get the job done. I think a lot of people think they have to have the latest and greatest. Not necessarily so. A Photo my son took of his dog with my Sony A7s shows what "only" 12mp can do. Even blown up on here it still has a ton of detail. They are a hell of a camera for a bargain price now. And for colors, that grass and that dog, a male Yorkie, is spot on right out of camera. That is probably the Sony FE 16-35mm f4 lens.

well it for sure is not for everyday stuff. It was a pretty huge setup even on my AF100. But the quality of the lenses are beyond belief. They make a Canon L lens look kind of weak. The above picture was my 150 Dollar 19x Fujinon that was used in that video on my G7. This was the 13x on my AF100..

This thing is not going to be cheap I bet. 4000 bucks I would guess or more. It can't be cheaper than the S1R. And if it is more it hurts the EVA1. Unless it is a EVA2!

Nano-rigs - hand-held camera rigs that do it all and fit in your pocket

I wonder if "Downgrading" to the new A6400 would be a worthwhile move on your part? -
If you buy a B4 lens with the 2x thingy on them they will cover m4/3 easy. The bummer is it also 2x on the Aperture. But a lot of the B4 lenses are a constant f1.7, especially the Fujinon ones which are way more common. For @kye And not all B4 lenses are huge. if you buy say a 10x one, and take the Zoom controller off of them, which most of the cheap ones you buy have the servo burnt out on them anyways, they are pretty small. And the zoom servo has a switch to let you use them if does work or not on MF. Yeah shooting kids around parents is a huge problem, especially when you get old like me. Crazy world. As to price I have found Adorama and ebay the cheapest place to buy used B4 lenses. Once in awhile B&H has a few cheap ones. By cheap I mean 200 dollars and less. One of the ones I have only cost 50 dollars, 13x from Adorama the other was 150 dollars, my 19x. neither had the servo that worked but you can buy them for 25 bucks at times. The 19x ends up being around 930mm on a m/43! Where you going to find a 29-900mm parfocal f1.7, f 3.5 in reality with the doubler on, lens for 150 bucks! The doubler doubles the focal length, and with the 2x crop on m4/3 you end up 4x. Talk about reach. And sharp as a tack on both ends. Not handheld mind you lol. This is a video I did with my 13x, first time I ever used it on my Panasonic AF100. Second time I ever used the camera lol. My rig at the time was pretty terrible compared to now but you can see how much reach, and how sharp they can be When you focus right lol. And the is the lens I paid 50 dollars for! https://vimeo.com/manage/207977557/general

Yeah you are right. I was a bit too harsh on my comment. Times have changed and tech has truly advanced. A person needs to try anything to get the shot, and there are now more and more ways to do it. I guess I am a old fossil lol.

Ahh it is a Eh! thing. I really am not sure why the US is busting your balls other than Trade deals I suppose. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/6-points-of-u-s-canada-trade-friction/ And this interview might clear up what Trump is looking to do in the long run on trade. It is Long overdue. You have to go the the end of that video and the one I am talking about starts. Weird you can't direct link it. https://www.yahoo.com/news/bannon-built-the-wall-over-the-weekend-140449962.html

It is not a new thing I can tell you that. When I was in the service in the 60's there were a lot of hatred for America in most foreign countries I was in. And I was in a lot of them. I think a lot of it was jealously then, and probably a fear of loosing their identity, becoming Westernized added to it. I can see both points at the time. Now, not so sure. Trump hatred I guess. And well hell, easy to blame someone else for your failures also. Personally from the time I was young I think the whole world is going to shit. Sure some economic gain in some poor countries, but there is more unrest in the world now than there ever was in my lifetime. Just a lot of good, old, hate. The best days are over for most countries. And it ain't coming back anytime soon, if ever.

No AF, but what about using a B mount lens on a m4/3 camera. The ENG 2/3" 2x lenses are cheap as heck, and they are All parfocal. You can buy 10,000 Dollar lenses for 200 Dollars. And some of them are 20x. And they have a constant, fast aperture. Well still pretty fast when you consider the doubler. Still under f4.0 The big Box Lenses can go 80x! The best trick I have found for using long Telephoto lenses for Photography is to use your Video Fluid Head with them. Works amazingly well. I gave up using my Swing Gimbal a long time ago. I can't say a swing gimbal is useless, for certain things I have used it. Nice for just up and down stuff, but..

Yeah the main takeaway in Northrup video, and I agree, is that it is no secret that cameras companies make their money off of lenses. And there as of now is not enough people that is going to buy Canon, Nikon Mirrorless cameras to justify making 5 models of them. So they are depending on DSLR sales and lens buyers to make the real profit. The problem is that is going to hell also. Sony was smarter than they look by dumping the A line DSLR cameras years ago. And they pretty much only have 1 mount for all their stuff. They are in a great position compared to a lot of others.

I read a rumor it is geared toward 8K. If so it won't be cheap.

You just admitted what I have said. You would not use it as a A-cam. What, you think everyone on here has 2 or 3 cameras to take stuff. I would imagine the Only camera they have is used as the A-cam. Sure I can run down the street and grab a shot with my iPhone. Is it top notch, the best I can do, not by a long shot. Sure anyone can half ass anything, that part is easy. And that is what this flying stuff looks like, and easy way out. Yeah if you are just on vacation, sure go for it. But for serious stuff you bust your ass to do, I think it falls way short. YMMV.

I agree. I am sick and tired of the stupid floating look. It is un natural as hell. Like I have said you can look at the evening news with crews using heavy ENG cameras and you Rarely see any screw ups on dumb looking motion on them, and as I have stated you spend more time walking backwards doing that than going forward doing ENG work. These light as heck setups may be nice for some things but for serious work you need a seriously heavy camera or a really damn good Tripod. I just don't think IBIS, or OIS, even AF is going to really get the job done if you are serious about this stuff. There is no free lunch for quality output. Maybe a full blown Stedicam rig that cost 20,000 Dollars can, but.. Sure it can look pretty good showing your Mom your footage, but having knowledgeable people scrutinizing it, trying to make money from it, hmm not sure about that..

Well we are both looking at China for a whole different environment from the EU and here in America. I personally think past CEO's ought to have their ass beat to put profits ahead of jobs here. The god damn stock market is close to the worse thing ever invented in this county, and setting CEO's wages to it was just about the dumbest ass thing you could ever do. It is all about greed, and greed just screws the average person down the line. Like I have said before, it is all about the money. Rich people would sell their Grandmother for 2 Dollars if they could. I have met and worked around several rich as hell people, and on average they are a total horses ass. They don't give a shit about Anyone, they just use you to make money plain and simple. They make me look like Pope Francis.

Oh I don't doubt America has a Huge influence on what happens all around the world. But being an armchair quarterback is pretty easy looking back. And sure who would not give Clinton credit for a pretty smooth 8 years other than his impeachment stuff and, No I didn't have sex thing lol. He did sort of like women a bit too much. ? I am kind of a Trump fan as to the shaking up Washington, but he does do some dumb stuff. But I think his main goals have legs to stand on. Past Presidents have just pushed stuff aside and let it all get out of hand. If this Global thing is going to work it Has to be fair to everyone. I am sorry but China is really not playing by the rules. I don't care if they are or want to be number 1, just treat countries with respect and not try and exploit every little move they can get away with. We all have the same dreams and goals. Why try to screw each other now that the world has shrunk down to the size of a basketball in terms of the speed and time it takes to contact, and go nearly anywhere in a few hours, or in nano seconds on the internet.
