Yeah the C200 is down to 6400 bucks now on ebay. Pretty good price for new and what you get. No DPAF, even on the XC15 is a bummer though. Why the hell would you put DPAF on the M50 and not on the XC15 lol. Crazy company.

I don't know the 1DC has a hell of a good bit rate for a camera. Well actually for storage it is terrible but.. It is possible the 1Dx mk II could match it I guess. But way out of my price range. I admit maybe a Fuji X-T3 might do it? But for as old as they are the Canon sure is special. Canon was on a roll back then if you had the money to buy what they had. They were leaders than, not so much now.

I would be afraid of buying the C300 mk II now that Maybe a C100 mk III is due. But the 300 would be nice now with the 200 screen. Man big boy video is not cheap even now. But not many Cine cameras have AF so you pay the price.

Yeah 8 bit and weak Codecs, not counting a left handed joystick, 80% DPAF coverage for that money, hmm. I guess it is nice to have a pick it up and go form factor but.. The Sony PXW-Z90V 4K HDR XDCAM does 10bit 4.2.2. Seems a better deal to me. I don't need 4K, so a Canon C100 mk II or a C300 seems more my style for nearly the same money. It depends what you are going to use it for though for sure.

Yeah but right now if you own multiable camera company cameras, and want a somewhat one stop solution with editing, and own Apple computers, you are going with Apple ProRes Raw. And that is the good thing about it over anyone else as of now. It's Only been out for a little over a year.

Well one big advantage of ProRes Raw is that it can be used on a lot of cameras versus the Canon Raw Light is never going to be a industry standard like Apple ProRes Raw will. Plus the file sizes are smaller also. I mean if you have a Canon C200 sure you are probably going to use it's Raw but.. Probably a 1/3 of the people there worked in the Restrooms for the other people when they shit it up lol, and another 1/3 to drive the cars outside and park them, and the other 1/3 programming, repairing the Robots probably. The other 10 people were Bosses I guess. It is some scary stuff long term.

Oh I agree a lot with your original post, but not many are going to go by you suggestions. Yeah if a lot of people just polished it a bit it would be a huge plus. But some people don't fair well on live TV, I would not I think, so a lot of dumb mistakes are presented. But you also have to figure most people doing it are pretty young, and as we did at the same age, we thought we knew everything, when in reality we also were dumb as hell lol. Innocent little Lambs. Well the Canon 300nm process versus the Sony 90nm process is what is pretty telling to me. That is pretty far behind the curve in this day and age. Canon must spend about 50 Dollars a year upgrading their Fab plants. Their big problem is Sony, selling their sensors to everyone, has Tons of money to modernize their Fab Plants.
