I don't think it is. This is the best I could find. https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/3854876#forum-post-55927150

Another gripe was the lens not having a constant aperture. That was stupid on Canon's part.

Oh, I think the G7 was one of the best m4/3 cameras ever made, up there with the Olympus E-M1. Even though they are both older cameras now I think they still hold up in this day and age as way above cameras for what they cost, and output wise stellar. Overall, the G7 is better for both photos and video, but for photos the Oly E-M1 is amazing, I think it is even better than the MK II version output wise. More pure looking. The G7 probably would not be my top pick for a Filmic, Cine look but for a person that wants a pick a cheap camera up and shoot for not much money it Really gets the job done with little to no hassle. Throw a 14-140mm kit lens on it and you are ready for nearly anything. Killer combo. It has amazing color science.

I have the same lens, yes it has a unique look to it. Good choice for that video Marty.

Just bought a new camera for 2022 - the small but mighty GX85

Yes, I am big on the Olympus 15mm F8 pancake lens. The price is right and like you did you can just stick it in your pocket and not really even notice it. And as you stated it is pretty good output wise if you have enough light. The DOF is pretty good also. 😃 -
Color matching lenses no longer a thing in cinema ?

Sure with a $10,000.00 Cooke lens. I am talking about stuff we can afford, like 25 dollars or something, well I am retired you know ,on a fixed income... And not selling drugs, I need all I can get for myself. -
Not sure where to put this but this does seem to fill a need for all the damn stuff you have to carry with you all in one place. Doesn't solve every scenario but it would help.

Panasonic S1 V-LOG -- New image quality king of the hill

Now you are talking cats in flower beds, ehh maybe not. That would be a negative. Hmm no more cat shots or flowers, just trees and good looking women. -
Red has just been a shit about the patent. They in this day and age could have ignored enforcing it through the legal channels and at least just have licensed it. But no, they have to curtail everyone who even wants to advance raw and bust everyone's balls over it. That shows me they are either evil as shit or SUPER concerned their product is really not that special, probably both apply.

Hey be nice I like cats. Bring them on. Plus it does show how sharp a lens or camera combo is. They have super fine hair along the lines of a rabbit. And there is an amazing variety of them. Beautiful and skillful animals. -

I would think a 24mm manual focus lens would distort, especially involving Architectual shots. Seems too wide to me to use Willy Niley. On big time movie sets they use a set of lenses that are pretty amazingly close to each other stair stepped from like 19 to 85ish then pretty big jumps up to around 135mm. You wouldn't need that many, but 2 lenses seem pretty damn limiting. Sure, indoor shots 2 would probably work, but for outdoor not so sure. -

Very well done, I like the style. I would not have guessed the camera setup. Proof that skill trumps gear. -
Aerial phototography rules (for the use of light devices)

Yes, I have seen some pretty amazing footage as of late using drones. The quality for just normal people has really jumped up. Great stuff. -

Plus, it takes years to get great at using them. And it helps if you are 20 years old doing it also. -
It's a 10% crop on the Sony, big deal. Ok the Nikon is a 1.5 crop. Also no big deal, nobody buys a Nikon anyways. Heck of a lot better than a 1.8, 1.7 crop on a Canon all the time.

Canon XF 605 - First test by Danilo Del Tufo
webrunner5 replied to Danilo Del Tufo's topic in Cameras
Why not a JVC GY-LS300, several people on here have one. Pretty hard to beat for 1500 Dollars used. And with the M4/3 mount amazing number of cheap lenses for it. For a little more money you can buy a Sony FS5. -
I don't know of any Sony or Nilon FF camera that crops. Red has always cheated on their cameras. Overstating everything including DR. Nah Canon is just the only FF one doing it on mirrorless cameras. Sure, I can sort of see it when using digital stabilization.
-
What the hell is the deal with Canon and their damn crops in 4K. Do they really want to screw everyone that doesn't have a clue about it? They have turned into a whore company out to F everybody that is dumb enough to buy their cheap crap, and by cheap I mean under like 2500 bucks. The CEO needs to have his balls cut off.

What is the deal with the GH6? I hardly see any info on it here and even not too much on the web. It's like it doesn't exist. It should sort of be a one thing does it all camera.
-
-
Well sort of a problem with a GH2.
-
Pretty good comparison of the BMPCC 4k versus the GH2 Hacked. GH2 10 times cheaper, takes better photos to boot. Sure, overall, the PK4 wins but.
-
Well, I just bought a Panasonic GH2 from Adorama in good condition with battery and charger for $109.00. Hot Damn.
