This thing has a PMW F3 looking EVF that will probably break with any rough use. Not going to be too good for ENG, Doc stuff like that.

I am a big Olympus fan, but this thing for 3600 bucks sounds like a, why did they even bother camera. I can't see them selling many of them unless the rumors are wrong. This is like a 4 year old camera in a new body. This thing reminds me of the Pentax K1. At least it was FF.

I don't know Emanuel, it would be exciting and scary as heck to be in the camera business today. I think we are going to see stuff out this year we never thought possible features wise or price wise.

I think BMD has opened a floodgate of cheap cameras like it that are going to come out. Look at the A6400, Fuji X-T3. The E2 is not the last company that is going to have a cheap camera body out. Even Arri is going to have to respond. They are not going to be able to get 70,000 bucks for one down the road. Look at Red. They are dropping models and prices also. Either they have been screwing the hell out of us or manufacturing has gotten one hell of a lot cheaper in the last 2 years. China is one of the reasons. Kinefinity is putting lots of pressure on Red, Arri. Kinefinity will hand their ass to them down the road. The way Smartphones are going with Computational Computing, and AI they might put all the lower end cameras out of business down the road. And I would imagine that is where most of the profit is.

And BMD Giving away for free all it's research doesn't really make any sense either, but they are doing it, even with Resolve, Fairlight ,and Fusion.

The PK4 and Ump 4.6K Pro is not the Only cameras BMD makes. Why wouldn't they state it will be in everything they make? So if it isn't in everything a competitor would have a lead. You think all these company's out now are going to play mister nice guy? Somebody is going to go out of business down the road. Everybody can't win in this shrinking environment. So any edge they are going to go for it. Look at Nikon. They just stuck a finger in Canon's eye.

And how do you know that? I would say they are going balls to the wall on the E2. Why wouldn't they do it? If they can accomplish what they have done already that ought to be easy to do.

Hmm I just did 3 different wording of no BRaw and I get no hits. I sort of doubt that is true. But I must admit I was a bit surprised they didn't try to make a little money off of it at the rollout with licensing. They said it took 2 years or more to develop it. That would have to entail a lot of R&D money. BMD said every bit of it is open to anyone that want's to use it. That is how. They are not pulling a Apple.

Poor mans Red camera for 2000 bucks. I will cut them some slack. How can a little camera company have better 4K and 1080p frame rates than the big boys? Hmm. And I bet down the road they will have BMD BRaw in it also. Maybe before the PK4 even gets it. How crazy would that be.

And then you argue with Mercer about the IBIS being the same, well it's not, the G85 has IBIS II. It's a newer version in a more expensive camera. He has had both also. Well apparently the 2 Fuji X-T3's you had are also I guess. Eh didn't Fuji add some things to the X-T2 that it Couldn't do before. How come they weren't in there to start with? Your just acting silly as hell. Every camera I can think of has had firmware upgrades to it. Hell Canon shipped the Canon C200 without even a middle Codec in it. How gay is that!

Well it look like the Everyday Dad didn't have the latest firmware loaded in the camera according to the E2 forum on Facebook. He's got CAF working now. ?

Z Cam has ProRes, 4K 120p 10bit, and 1080p 240p. That seems like something that is pretty special. No other camera I know of can do that, Sure some can do it for like a few seconds but.. And it is a lot smaller camera than people make it out to be. I think for a unknown company it is pretty amazing.

I would buy this over a PK4 now that it has ProRes. 4K 120p, yeah baby! Plus you can actually get one, unlike some other brand I know. Hell I can't even afford the shipping. ?

Well I guess since Casey Neistat was using it to VLog with it has great potential. ? I am sure Canon sold more of them than I think. You have to figure it is Canon's answer to the Nikon D750. And they sold a lot of them. I guess it was the let down of no 4K in it after that long of wait. I think if I was Canon right now I would be a bit scared. I don't think Canon can afford to pull a Canon anymore.

He is Politely stating that you will probably not find a lot of love on here for a Canon 6D mk II LoL. But there are worse cameras. It is not a bad Overall camera, and now just about any newer modern camera is really pretty good. But for the money I think most of us would go a different route. You May be the only one I know of on here that has one, or at least admits to it, let alone would prefer it over a X-T3.. ? But with the DPAF, flippy screen, FF, for the right money it has some redeeming properties.

When it works it works, but that is not a dependable solution for lots of situations. Having to use ND filters a lot of the time is not ideal. But I guess it is just the price yo have to pay for more of a Cine camera over a true Hybrid.
