Does the Nikon Z6 have a cropped DX mode like Sony has a s35 mode on their FF stuff?? That way the Fujinon lenses would work.
-
Might be too big and heavy for vlogging. Not counting too expensive. The 899 dollar A6400 would be a better bet for that I would think. This thing must be crazy good to ask that much money. But Olympus makes damn good stuff.?
-
So are you actually trying to put it in using the SD card slot?
-
Wow 3600 US dollars is up there for a m4/3 camera. I know it is sort of a Canon 1Dx mk II, Nikon D5 but. Sounds like a Wildlife, sports camera dream. It will be interesting to see how it works out in the long run.

Yeah I have not really followed Brexit much, but it sounds like a disaster waiting to happen if they do. Their big problem, like ours, is the Immigration thing. Might be too late for Britain, they have ignored it too long from what I read. I am not too big of a fan of a wall in the USA, but I see no other real way to stop it. Well at least slow it down a lot.

There is hardly Anything that goes wrong with a C100, C300. They are built for the long haul. Now the Sony PMW F3 has a Lot of troubles with the EVF on them breaking. The EVF on the F3 and the mk I C100 is not a lot to write home to mother about anyways to be honest. The C100 mk II and the C300 are pretty good. Now there is a rubber thingy called a C Cup that helps the C100 mk I EVF a lot. Like 30 bucks. It is built like a tank. But does not help with the EVF not swiveling like the mk II.

Yeah but on most of these newer advanced cameras if you bust your ass and set Everything in it from Knee, to Black Point, Sat, Contrast, etc., you can get a look You like if you can save it to a custom setting, that works a lot of the time. All those built in profiles are just a general grade, one size fits all thing. You can eliminate a lot of time and trouble by trying to get it right in camera more than depending on grading for hours, to fix something, that could have been avoided more times than not.

Fixed. Thanks. But you need to edit out the link also please.

Here was my very first try with a B4 on my AF100. Hard to get it to zoom or focus smoothly on a cheaper tripod LoL. The servo didn't work on it, so I had to zoom manually. I only paid 150 dollars for it at Adorama. You are talking a Crazy zoom range. Like up to a 37- 960mm I think with that 19x lens. But they are really sharp and parafocal, and really fast, mine was a f1.7 through the Entire range, crazy. But you loose 2 stops because of the 2x TC which you always have to have engaged..
-
It Has to be a 2/3 B4 lens with a 2x TC in it. It will not work with B4 1/2 lenses at all. . Lots of examples below. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=B4+lens+on+m4%2F3

Nikon Z9 and Z5 plus affordable 4K shooting D5700 in the works?

Yeah but that is getting too close to the price of the A7III. Why would you buy a APSC camera from Sony, when for 200 bucks more you can get a FF one from them? -

Well from what came out in 2018, I would say all bets are off on what Could happen this year. Crazy stuff happening all through the industry. Good for us though. -

The lowest FF camera now is like 1999 dollars. That would be an amazing drop in price. That would be the lower end alright LoL. Hell anything is possible. No EVF, no IBIS, no tilting screen, built in memory, hell on and on. I guess it could be done if you stripped it down to the nearly the chassis. -

It probably will be APSC just like the Fuji is. If Nikon makes a 1200 FF camera who would ever buy the Z6? It ain't happening. I would guess the new A7000 will be 1500 dollars or less to compete with the Fuji X-T3. -

It won't be FF, so it will be a waste of time. Every company Has to come out with something to compete against the Fuji X-T3. And that camera will be it. -

Like I said somewhere else here, you can buy a brand new Sony A7 for like 795 bucks. 1200 bucks sounds like rape to me. ? https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1008114-REG/sony_ilce7_b_a7_mirrorless_digital_camera.html -
Well like my car dealership friend used to say, "There is an ass for every seat".

Yeah my son has an 80D. A Really nice overall camera. He has the EF-S 10-22mm, 50mm, a 35-85mm zoom I think, an old one. Pretty much all the average person needs.
-
Nice, yeah a lot of times the servo is bad, and you lucked out on the cable. They usually are pretty expensive. I loved the ones I had.
-
Yeah the GH5s particularly can become almost a FF camera. I guess the crops applies to the PK4, Kinefinity 4K, and the Z Cam E2 also. I sure would like to have one. But wow so many good cameras out now. Tough choices.
-
Yeah I think the GH5, GH5s will go down as Classic cameras just like the C100, Canon 5D mk II, Sony A7s, etc.
-
Interesting data on the crop factors of the GH5s. From https://www.43rumors.com/exact-crop-factors-caluclated-new-gh5s-multiaspect-sensor/ 3680 pixel long in 4/3 = 2x crop factor in 4/3 still mode 3840 pixel long in 3/2 = 1.91x crop factor in 3/2 still mode 4016 pixel long in 16/9 = 1.32x crop factor in 16/9 still mode 4096 pixel long in 17/9 = 1.796x crop factor in 17/9 (DCI 4K) video mode 3840 pixel long in 3/2 = 1.91x crop factor in 16/9 4K UHD video mode. 35mm means 3680×3680 = 7360 pixel long or 1x crop factor If you add a Speed Booster Ultra to the GH5s you get in DCI 4K a crop factor of 1.275x with 35mm lenses. If you add a Speed Booster XL to the GH5s you get in DCI 4K a crop factor of 1.149x with 35mm lenses.

I think Editing, not coloring, grading is more important, and Audio might as well be like trying to learn Chinese. Look how much stuff is just a music track and really no natural audio at all. Kind of depressing after awhile. What about lighting. I mean sure if all of it is great that is what is great. That is what a Pro looking thing is. But what really is the better progressions. In what order do you concentrate. Hard to be good at all of it. I think color grading maybe the hind end thing to master. Video is hard, real hard to master. Not trying to derail your thread. But yeah will be interesting to see your results. I am glad to see you pushing to get better at it. It is the difference between good and great stuff.
