A lot of them seemed to be either farmers or owned a lot of land. They are seemed very well educated and knowledgeable. I had a lot as friends because they came back year after year. They didn't stay really that long. A lot of them has to get back for an operation they had scheduled for months, and they could only be out of country so long or their insurance was canceled? But they all acted like they were afraid to be seen ever making a mistake. Hard to describe, but they had fun but they didn't. It was like you act when you are at church LoL.

I don't want a camera that looks like the PK4. I don't like the damn look, or the body design. How hard is that to comprehend. Why would I want to take a BMPCC and try to make it look like the PK4. You act just because you like something Everybody is suppose to like it. If that person likes the Micro that is his business. Why you knocking his decision? Other people on here like the Micro also. I don't because you have to rig the hell out of it, just like the PK4, and I could give a rats ass about slo mo. I am sure they will sell a bunch of them. But not one to me. Well why the hell don't you show us all how good the footage is out of yours! I can get ProRes and Raw out of a GH5s using a Atomos recorder. Big deal. It will have the same look as the PK4, Z Cam E2, Kinfinity 4K. They all use the same sensor, and they all look pretty much the same using ProRes.

how many space do you need for short/medium length/feature film?
webrunner5 replied to Dan Wake's topic in Cameras
Yes it has a better looking imagine but it is not filmic, cinematic looking. It is modern. I think it looks too blue looking. Starting at 8:15 color differences. -
Oh I am not saying the older ones have a look everyone likes. I really like it. But yeah it is Hard to get a cleaner look from the old ones, and that is what is in now. I can see why you went that way. And true the GH5s is more expensive, but you don't have to buy all the stuff to add to it like you do the PK4, so it is really not much more money in the long run. And V90 cards are cheaper than CFast cards, although they aren't giving away either one of them away!

Yeah C300 has a true broadcast Codec if you need that. Some people like the output of the original C100 better. I know I do. But the mk II has a more modern look. -
Bullshit. I have never seen any footage out of the PK4 that looks like a BMPCC or a BMCC. And apparently everyone that has bought one on here must be broken camera because I haven't seen really Any footage from them on here either. Talk is cheap on both sides. But sure as goofy as the PK4 is, it is better in a few respects than the old ones. But that was a not a hard task to accomplish. I am not buying one, that's a fact. I'll buy a GH5s. Same look, better camera..

Yeah an original C300 with DPAF is a beast of a camera yet. 2500 bucks on average. All a person needs. -

I don't think the lens gives a rats ass what resolution you are shooting at. It just projects what you want it to see to a Sensor. It can project so many line pairs and that is it. What that is depends on the quality of it. But yeah if your math is correct, ? , than 65mp would be a Stretch no doubt for an old lens. Would be a stretch for a New FF lens to be honest.

A C100 is looking better every day LoL. -
Buying a dedicated keyboard or overlay relevant to your NLE is also a great upgrade. Just studying the keys can lead to exploration you might not normally do, and find a quick solution to a nagging problem easily solved by the push of a button or two.
-
Yeah I agree. If I had the money I would still buy the a7 III over the other new cameras that have come out. Sure 10 bit is nice, but having a well rounded camera that woks, with a lot of good used lenses out now, and 3rd party support, and upward mobility is what sells it for me.

Well if you aren't into winter sports there isn't a hell of a lot else to do in Canada but "escape" through movies, or movie making LoL. I have met a lot of them when I lived in Florida. They overall didn't seem to be a happy Lot to be honest. They took everything Way too serious. They acted like their mother was watching them all the time alive or not! Stiff upper lip and all. Stressful way to live if you ask me.?
-
They both look really close to me except for the crop n 4K. You could almost inter mingle the footage and get by with it. Hmm.
-
Well they don't have a movable box on them so you are sort of stuck using the center only. But they are pretty good at the speed they do acquire focus. It is not jumpy or too fast like some cameras are. It does look like a real focus pull should. There has been a heck of a lot of weddings shot using one. They are kind to the Bride. And that counts a lot!
-
Well maybe he, she will learn something LoL. Just buy a C100 and be done with it. And well a 1DX, and 1D mk II to go with it.?
-
Yeah having 2 different systems is a pain in the ass even if you have money to do it. Video is enough of a pain if everything is right, let alone adding to the problems. And not having 4K in the C100 I can see could be a problem for some. There is no real good solution to any of this sad to say. Always a catch.
-
Sure looks like it can do slo mo to me.
-
No I am saying to buy a C100. Hell if you buy one with the battery charged all you have to do is throw a mike on it, a cheap SD card in and away you go. Don't need no 4,000 dollar computer to edit the footage. No spending all day to correct the colors, and hell if you get one with DPAF it might actually be in focus using a cheap ass EF-S lens. No cage shit, no battery solution from hell, just killer sharp 1080p footage. Not sure what else a person needs?
-
Yeah I don't see why anyone that is serious about this stuff and has talent would keep limiting themselves with a camera is that is half assed at both things.
-
Yeah Philip Bloom is the first one that I know of that found a way to do it. Probably from his past experiences. All he does is drops the 50i footage into a 25P timeline that I know of? The C100 is just such a nice camera. Amazing beautiful output using what is on paper a crap Codec. Doesn't make any sense.. Magic I guess. Canon seems to have a few like that LoL The original 5D was like that also.Crazy good wedding camera. Look at the 5D mk II. Dumb luck more than anything. God takes care of children and stupid ass camera company's Board of Directors I guess LoL. ?
-
After a set time, you are WAY past that time, only Andrew can do it. I don't think we have a "Mod": on here anymore LoL. The last one got his pee pee smacked. ?

What you can do with a FHD 60p no ibis no AF camera
webrunner5 replied to wolf33d's topic in Cameras
I seriously doubt that is not the Only goofy thing he is into. ? -
There is a work around to get slo mo on a C100. Not a perfect solution though. But yeah you get it in the MK II. Pretty expensive camera yet. Well not really, but it is not the bargain it was a year ago with all these new cameras out now.
