Interesting rake on the G80 here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bs9xXotPl2Q

Well I found out the Crane 3 weighs 4.144691 pounds, 1880g. So same as the Ronin-S
-
I don't know about that. Most 80D footage I have seen looks more like 720p. It is a damn soft camera output wise to me. My son has one and we are not that impressed to be honest. Yeah it has the good CS, and the DPAF is nice, but sure body wise it is a better platform. But it is not a small camera. But the M50 has 4K, and it is mirrorless, so you can use any lens on it. And a lot more stealth. It has to be in the running. With a speedbooster on it it is pretty interesting. I have not owned the M50. But from what i have seen it has a sharper 1080p than the 80D.

Speaking of small, cheap stuff. This is a pretty neat video, at least the first half of it. Sometimes that wide lens is a Plus.

That is just one persons opinion, the author. Read the comments, they are not as kind. Sure a Sony A7xxx, or the Fuji X-T3 with a small lens probably works well. But that is pretty limiting.

They make aftermarket lenses for GoPro's that are not fisheye. https://www.peauproductions.com/collections/gopro-hero-7-6-5-lenses I have become a pretty big fan of all these newer, cheaper cameras as of late for 2 reasons. One, I don't have much money right now, and Two, the tech that is out now has narrowed the playing field a heck of a lot compared to even just a year ago. The new iPhones, some other Smartphones, the Hero 7 GoPro, the Osmo Pocket, the Canon EOS M with ML, the new Canon M50 with a speedbooster on it, the newer Drones, on and on. Sure they aren't a Arri Alexa, but for causal stuff, even half serious stuff they are pretty damn good. And they can be a great B camera for the big boy stuff. Small, portable, stealth stuff is really pretty nice to have in this day and age. And I kind of like the challenge of getting sort of Pro looking footage out of stuff like that to be honest. And it is becoming not that hard to do that now. Amazing stuff out now for hardly any money new or used.

Good advice. Plus a GX85 type camera is pretty light, and light cameras do not do very well for stabilization. 20 pound ENG cameras have no stabilization and they look almost perfect. But they are shoulder mounted and have more contact points like @kye mentioned. Nobody ever said video was easy, or cheap. But with skill and practice you can get about anything done with anything.

I don't have Any HDD's. I Have 5 SSD's, so no clue.

Most people on here go for the G85 over the GX85. Just a better overall camera with Cinelike D, and the big thing is the GX85 does not have a mike input. But the G85 is a bit more expensive. Good article below explaining the main differences. But I think there is a hack out that can do Cinelike D on the GX85? Olympus seems to have the best IBIS of anyone. But they mostly are not so hot on the video side. The original EM1 is pretty amazing for its age and price but only a nothing special 1080p. But to get the best out of either the Panasonic or Olympus you are going to have to get one of the higher end lenses that play nice with the body. There is Always a catch LoL. https://mirrorlesscomparison.com/preview/panasonic-g85-vs-gx85/

As far as I know it is 10bit and above. But it is available in the Sony A7r mk III, and that is not a 10 bit camera??

You don't want any kind of HDD for editing, you want a SSD. A high end Samsung one.

Pretty crazy when I was a kid over 60 years ago, gulp, the Dick Tracy watch thing was the neatest thing I remember wanting. It is just now happening. A hell of a long time to wait! -
On the B&H website it has some pretty piss poor ratings. Might be a Red Flag. You can buy a DJI Ronin-S for less money. I don't get it. The DJI Ronin-S weighs 4.1 pounds. I can't even find the weight of the Weebill Lab? https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1430269-REG/zhiyun_tech_weebill_lab_handheld_stabilizer.html

It might be better to buy a Panasonic GH4 and a Ninja V than the E2C. You have a full blown proven camera with a great recorder. -
Well this is what you are probably going to have to use to get a BMD viewfinder to work on the PK4. Not a pretty sight.
-
Yeah that is about as good as it gets. Hard to improve on that from what I saw and heard. Well I guess that's another camera I need to consider to buy LoL.

And you used cameras that are Filmic, Cinematic. High dollar PL lenses. And you shot in Log. What did you expect, Smartphone output? Your telling me you just used ooc footage with no grade? You shot for a distinct look. Not just what Bob down the street shot. You would have been out of a job if you just did what Bob was doing. I worked in TV also. I know what they did. It was perfection down to gluing knobs on certain equipment. It was a Look you Had to maintain on every shoot. If not you were looking for a new career. -
Yeah but when I was researching Canon C100, C300 cameras people that bought them regretted the hell out of them. They burnt the screen on those cameras something terrible. Not sure if other camera screens are that sensitive to sunlight being magnified, but looks like Canon cameras sure don't like them. No way I would buy one. http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/archive/index.php/t-262002.html

I think no IBIS is a serious mistake in this day and age also.

About the Only time I turn a TV on is to watch the News.. Soon as it is over I turn off the TV. Not interested. So no I have no subscriptions to anything TV related. But yeah I agree streaming is the future once they got enough bandwidth it will be the majority way a lot of people get their content. But to keep selling new stuff I don't think there will Ever be enough bandwidth for 12K, 16K on and on content LoL.
