Unfortunately not.

Yes - Resolve can now dance a circle around competition because of obviously mostly modern, flexible code system (it seems that Resolve refresh it from the ground about v12). As it is widely known, problem with Premiere is obsolent base code. Adding new and new possibilities is more easy with such code construction. What is unbelievable is so fast inclusion - it seems very efficient - of totally different code system of Fusion... Or it could be that they are not so different after unnoticed refreshing of Resolve - which than demonstrate BM highly clever software planning strategy. Actually, I believe that as mediator here played important role now killed eyeon's complementary Generation, written as extremely flexible open source system.

Yes, I tried them all except last one from Fxphd. I also at the first place recommend fxphd's - I'd suggest, look around for early ones, Fus201 and Fus202 - Fusion doesn't change anything in its base using at least for 7 years. There's also great old course with Matt Lennard's own company called Fusion 3D, although for Fusion v5-6 (Lennard also was instructor on first fxphd's) - I have this dvd it somewhere, but I can't remember the name od Lennard's company to easy find a link. Early cmivfx's have plethora of more specific informations and examples - for example, there's still not, I think, anything better about using of particles than two courses from cmivfx. Fusion particle system was so advanced even before 8 years that it doesn't need any add (at the time where Nuke has no anything similar). Their not so long course about rotoscoping - which maybe the most important for Resolve users - is also great, concise and simple. EDIT http://www.spherevfx.com/videotraining/legacy/fusion-5-in-depth-3d/ correction - Matt Leonard not Matt Lennard

... including myself... that I called new version of crowdfunding: by using of time Let's announce something unfinished half year in advance to prevent competitive existing product not to be bought. Of course, anybody in theory could withdraw initial sum - but in praxis it would be rare... Buyers of BMCCC were willing to wait year and half for preordered cameras... So let's collect thousand of preorders to bind customers - although even now it is obvious that they couldn't be dispatched to the time for most of preordering buyers. But, I'm no regretting any moment - from the beginning of GH5s I protested because of insolent price. From my point of view, Panasonic deserved to be warned in a such way. And I like that BM did it. I'm just afraid that such behavior will be from today new standard... and I dislike it. Contrary, I liked very much when BM's announcement of UMP was completely opposite: WYSIWYG NOW!

Sorry to remark: for the vital part (concerning "little or no advantages") it is not true. I am shooting every day (well, not exactly every) between internal and external on GH5. First, for some reason DNxHR codec works better than ProRes on Atomos. Second, there is significant difference especially in greatly suppressed Noice Reduction, but also in noticeable less sharpening with externally recorded DNxHR HQ. What previous poster, to whom you answered, stated is, I think, simply too superficial (or maybe naive) impression - "details" confused with absence of heavy correction, while at the same time claiming with obvious insulting tendency/dictionary about oversharpened rubbish - which get several likes of like personе. As @Jonpais put in the words my already long resource of enjoy: efforts of degrading to the zero quality of GH5 image in this (so often) theater of many omnipotence personalities are so funny and sympa. What is even more funny is to read how the same people that yesterday glorify GH5s or Fuji or what else new (actually, I believe even GH5 at its dawn) now started to minimize everything to favor of yet unseen new BMPCC - camera with modest un-cinematic m43 mount... Because RAW must be so great! - so, thanks for such original and powerful discovering - from these so powerfully sounding and discovering mouths.

Just as voting I've already declared several days ago: Resolve 15 is really star of the NAB show. Studio version is noticable faster and, interestingly, I found also more stable and without few bugs that I noticed in non-studio version. Noice Reduction indeed results in much more precision and efficacy. What to say about Fusion - just imagine that I've learned it starting from the eyeon version 5 after death of beloved Combustion :)... I saw with sad how it was surpassed with agressive campaign of Nuke - and now, full resurrection in a hands of BM. Resolve, in fact, has more impact on industry than new BMPCC - it is, I think, unofficial announce of the end of Flame or even Mistika as supersoftware - for 300$ as separate, or free with camera (or even, it has to be said, as silent agreement for cracked versiоn after rejection of dongle protect). Resolve 15 finally ruin any idea of someone's monopol to high-end software. Blackmagic mission as democratization of type "art for everybody" is in Resolve on its peak - and simply and deeply revolutionary one.

I had set of Leica R lenses... anything special that interested you?

My point is company behavior - when A7 III or GH5 s were anounced, we already have many footage from testers to judge quality, and delaying time was not too long. Now we have half a year of promise and still not a single footage. Why then so hurry to preorder it? In what phase of development is new GH6 after two year of finishing GH5 - or A7S III... and what we will think about Panasonic if they come with prototype model and ask to preorder it somewhere about autumn? It is not correct, or it is just new flavor of crowfunding - i. e. crowd funding something... time. Black magic is parasience based on de/reconstruction time and space
-
Yes, it is obvious - new one for me is redefined flavor of manipulation time - 6 months... in historically free BM time dictionary
-
When footage is properly balanced, It is mostly all about investing time to polishing separate parts - excluding some area and playing with x-vs-x curve. You can tweak them whole day - or say: ok, that's enough. When you have to match totally different footage - then, it is really great task. But, when you have to match several hundred footage - it is why you need "professional" colorist who can notice and make tweaking fast, flying over weaknesses of material. It is also matter of appropriate precise instrument - for example Assimilate Scratch, which is still standard for many, still has no comparatively separate toolset for log footage in comparison with Resolve... not to say anything about Lumetri. Keep in mind that simple temperature button at Resolve is in disposal just from v12 or 12.5... which makes WB so easier.

Thanks for clarification As I wrote, and to repeat total nonsense - it looks like black magic flavor of crowdfunding... I mean, it is new flavor - BM so often redefine the game, so it looks like innovative (delaying) version: stop buyers to buy competitive products in expecting your and mobilizing eco system third part creators. If you like more nonsense - it looks to me as time-based crowdfunding (Because time is money... at least in one version of definition.) I remember situation with BMCCC camera - year and half after preordering buyers didn't get it... I hope it is not the case now... with all really great respect, with BM history I learned to often reckon on word "hope".
-
Nice news - meanwhile I'm playing with Resolve 15 beta studio - temporal Noice Reduction is indeed very much improved, i.e. temporal treshold values more precisely preserve finest details.

Please, don't get me wrong - but what can be seen or especially concluded from this desaturated screenshot of very evenly lightened interior? @Django Maybe I'm just too sensible or keep longer bad experience - but I clearly remember when not so long ago Petty came out presenting UMP and proudly claiming that they will never again present product without immediately capable distribution... and it was true about UMP.... But now again the same. Maybe my problem... I simply reckon too much on a given word.
-
Is it common outcome that after presentation of "final" product and open pre-order selling still rest so much unanswered questions? It is not rhetorically question - simply I've never paid to much attention on usual promotional behavior... But here I noticed that several visitors confirm the same - to quote one of them: "Blackmagic people were unwilling to say anything on camera." I don't understand why. Am I wrong when it seems to me that at the moment we really dispose mostly with glaring promises which, of course, all of us greatly respect and wish or longing for - but we actually know very little how efficiently they will be implemented? Because we saw so little of examples of promised look and implementation?

Wow, what a nice clasic balance of tonality - blue with pale face and creamy pastel of compounding colors in the background! And glance down to the side - immediately composition angle reminiscence of La Vergine Annunciata by Antonello da Messina (sadly reproduction is bad)...

Nokton for fun today at my place, stills grab from clip 1 hour after midnight - f0.95, iso 1600 (or rather 3200), for my eye everything around was completely in the dark, but not for the eye of mr Nokton

Yes, it seems that offensive voices of FF exclusiveness are silenced at least for some time What would be expected from experienced colorists than that there must be something hard to work with? I don't know how experienced I am - but for me is harder to work with compressed files... It is sure that only with raw files I can make day-for-night grading exchange, which is my favorite one!
-
I'm referring to this one: "We all desperately wait to use it..." :

Thanks! Do you have any clue what is the "profile" or specs you get when set HLG recording option on camera and record to Atomos? (In Ninja exported file looks very ugly.)
-
Does Shogun Inferno support proper HLG reading (and transfering) at Atom HDR level - I mean, as with V-log? I have just Ninja Flame, which has no firmware update for HLG - but I don't know what 8.42 update in upper models really provide?
-
I think that there's no reason to spare anybody on market who relays on our money, including Panasonic... Someone here claimed that reason for not including 0 sharpening is tiny codec - which is not correct: we can see what zero NR and base level of non software sharpening looks like via hdmi to Atomos - nothing tiny about it... Reason imo is simply the same (insolent) one offered about non-free including of V-log: they don't like to confuse consumers - but at the same time they mostly reckon to prosumer's usage of GH* as indie video camera... Actually, they want to differentiate it more from EVA1 or so.
-
How so? You think that camera is finished, but not just there's no any presented footage, but Petty himself said to 5D interviewer that he also is interested to shot with it - but he still can't... Some previous firmly claim was that they will not speak anything before any new camera is not ready for market distribution - and that really was case with UMP. But now - half year at least.

Oh yes, I forget about drugs (strangely because of frequency of imposingly suggestive mentioning) ... Although, I dare to say that even every shooting-retiree somewhere deep inside of mind dreams about bearing Tarkovsky in himself - which, actually, easy might be true in gems and in meanings of devotion, love-for-beauty and spirit of independency.
