Imo very subjective and little bit poetically bombastic exaggerating...
-
One of the important reasons why I'm glad to participate in this forum - to note and collect such lovely quotes... thanks for this one!
-
Yes for all written - so, unfortunately, it seems that - while science of cooling etc. doesn't progress more - I must starting to reckon to have 2 cameras .... which seems fair, because we all also already have (at least) two person under the skin?
-
Agree... But if IBIS is not on a camera, then you are stuck with another quirks, using a gimbal or come back in time and become Dogma pro member
-
Imo it is indeed, or in fact so... Some at the moment relevant or important men with influence have consensus what is the relatively most usable to achieve goal - and that become standard "pro" for the other. But time (and technical progress) goes on, and some other relevant men make new "pro" usage... But I know you know it better than me Finally, you are a proprietor of my most beloved EOS quote - "We've hit the point where there is NO excuse for not shooting cinematic footage with even a $1000 camera. Everything from now on will just be nitpicking features to make things easier/quicker/efficient" BTW I'm great fan of BMPCC (had it 2 times) as BM in general... I'll probably buy new one (if God save my health for near future) instead of GH5s...
-
At the end of a (successful shooting) day, every adding instrument and feature becomes "pro". So IBIS, I'd say, just is a pro feature - problem is in dependency of history of using and in open mind. I'd also say: don't relay on old prejudices...
-
I'd just say: don't underestimate good ibis - you can accomplish fast documentary interview with many changing angle simply handheld (and GH5lock mode) You can penetrate to the forbidden places and still shot comfortably and... feel yourself as Indiana Jones...

It maybe depends on the someone's answer to contra-question: does Premiere present past now, or will present it tomorrow But, without any doubt, Including of Fusion as non-rendered tab in Resolve would be death attack on Flame - better editing and better FX possibilities in the same time. Without even concerning top grading and - as it seems - rapidly growing audio finishing power. (If Fairlight in v15 manage to offer repairing solution near to IZotopeFX, it would be unbelievable!)
-
Yes, some sort of similar scenario... Actually, even at v14 you can add node as FX to change different color gamuts, but I think that now will be also manageable to do it simultaneously at least as versions, or even as new separate viewing node.
-
I'd say - by large margin it is star of the show. For 300$ - if Resolve's technicians somehow manage to integrate Fusion's engine without mid-step of transcode, it is not just obvious Adobe killer, but and Flame also. I invested much time in learning Fusion - but even for cinematographers, "better NR" means stepping into Neat Video level, which further means clean and mostly color-unshifted image at 6400iso for m43 (and BMPCC) users. You can select different areas to work in the timeline and quickly jump from one to another.

I have lenses over my iris ... 35mm and 50mm have T1.2, 25mm T1.5... it is not visible which is fourth one... Because of rare reviews of SLR Magic lenses, here is one about 50mm T0.95
-
As we can see, they have written T values different from Veydras - T1.2, T1.5... Actually, and btw - Andrew Chan looks so nice man, although greatly devoted, yet so timid and humble in presentation of its lens-achievements. It seem to me that SLR Magic line suffer little bit because of such non-agressive promotional attitude.

For me BMPCC was/is the most beautiful (cinematic) learning tool above all specs/quirks. I just hope new one will somehow retain that special distinctive DNA profile... although perhaps it is more or and more hard to keep such position.

To discuss, or to entertain We really still don't know anything, isn't it?

Some very positive remarks about JVC... also in combination with Veydras.

Too plastic or cartoonish for me...

Usable or not?
