  1. @Ivanhurba Thanks. Most of all I'm worrying about quality of all 1080p flavors. It seems that bitrate is low and comparative tests show too significant difference between 4k and all HD offers. I couldn't find any test with side-by-side results between em1 II and, say, g80/85. Not to say anything about lacking of clips with any lens but native olys. That's why i hesitate and why I ask for any appropriate clip from someone to help to make decision?
  2. Please if someone have a time to share opinion or give more elaborate advice: I have offer to buy new em1 mk2 for about 1200e, so is it worth better than panasonic g80, or save for gh5, exclusively for creative video documentary use? I've read that Andrew highly respect this camera, but there are not so much professional look like video clips around to judge, particularly not these done with good native or adapted manual lens (Voigtlander, Zeiss etc). Is there too much lose in image quality and usefulness comparative to, for example, sony a6500 or gh5? Thanks in advance!
  3. Of course, that indeed was intention, to make laugh - imperial giant is counting of near underground/dirty guerilla movement to make more followers and profits... but wait, isn't it sounding somehow familiar in wider arena (So, maybe sooner or later topic here will be - "It isn't a joke, 6D MK2 4kRaw")
  4. Well, maybe Canon is starting to count on ML as its hidden weapon?
  5. Really, twice as minimum with Gh2 (<180$), only desperately missing focus peaking, even shaky footage could be full of charming... it seems that some qualities of GH2 sensor give something special? I've posted it regarding earlier discussion about lenses in this thread, thinking how mighty strange are these Voigts in hands of masters. So, once more...
  6. Am I wrong with great aesthetic admiration for such unpretentious using of GH2 + Voigt 17.5 f0.95 ("cinematic") combination... even at just 720p? (Need to say that I've found that CV 17.5 is the most usable and produce the most beautiful picture in whole m43 range of lenses, IMHO.)
  7. On words about Nepal, out of topic, but in honor to one of the members of this forum... wonderful achievement, and unbeatable NX1
  8. Made with several grading layer in Assimilate Scratch, trying to match accurate colors and preserve as much as possible midtones and mild roll-of highlights. V-log indeed has pretty nice DR scope.
  9. GH5 Done with several grading layers in Assimilate Scratch, not complicated task. Snapshot in jpg. Could be easy tweak (darken) with gamma settings or little bit of s-curve. Deezid result is nice, for me just with small yellowish tendency.
  10. Btw: between Eisenstein and Tarkovski there's no anything similar in technical side (of course, just marvelous dedication to their art). Tarkovski was greatest opponent to Eisenstein's strategic and universal rule of montage in movies, wholeheartedly advocating and ardently arguing for spontaneous and natural character of moves and shots. Therefore such beautifully realized Tarkovski's uninterupted long-shots, corresponding with his philosophy of natural-time approach and evolvement. Or, as he wrote: Sculpting in time.
  11. Try using Assimilate Scratch. It accepts - for base editing and high-end hard grading - even a GH5 6K video (hevc) files without any transcoding. Its workflow is way more intuitive and delivery-transcoding process (including native prores!) much faster than Resolve and Premiere. Only downside for editing is - just one audio track.
