Listen Emanuel what is the point of those endless youtube comparisons you are collecting here? They are comparing PHOTO not video most of the time. I dont see any proper video tests. For video Xiaomi smartphones are useless cos they dont have their EIS accessible to any 3rd party app (doesnt matter if you root the phone, use TWRP, etc). Good luck trying to get decent video with a stock app. Which means no 24p, no LOG video, always over-sharpened, low bit-rate and etc. I have K20 pro and I cannot record any video even with a gimbal (tried a few) with Filmic.pro cos micro jitters are killing it. You need EIS to make smooth shot if you are walking or anything besides standing in a place (yes, with a phone gimbal). And most of the time 3rd party apps also dont support anything beside phone prime lens. Also keep in mind, that the positioning of those lenses on Xiaomi phones (a line going down on the side) makes it so that so gimbal motor will get in the way for a most of the lenses wide angle for sure. They are very good for photos with Gcam yes, but other than that.. not so good.

Just wait for Xiaomi take on this and it will be what you wanted. They already make 4k TVs for the same price as their phones.

The couple of downsides with this machine for me are: - the cost of added storage/ram which gets very pricey and fast. And it aint possible to upgrade it itself ofcourse - radeon 5500 which has the same tdp (85watt) as nvidia 2070maxq but far less juice specially for Resolve which loves CUDA cores - overall dreadfull reapirability - a very ascetic selection of ports Otherwise seems like a pretty good upgrade to me.

Same story here. I hate the hussle of gimbals even though they provide the unique result I need. Waiting for better overall stabilization in next gen m43 cameras so I could ditch them in 90% of cases. For now the plan is to get small Zhiyun Smooth Q2 and use it with my Xiaomi K20 and Filmic.pro for gimbal shots and everyrhing else to shoot manual as I do. We will see how it works out.

Seems like it should handle GH5+speesboosted Sigma 18-35 as well. But I wonder if you can smash their video transmitter unit underneath plus a focus gear and will it still work that way? And can you change motor speeds on the fly like on Moza here?

Any word on pricing?

What I really wanted in this update is a fix for IBIS warping at the wide angle. That warping makes image unusable starting from 12mm and I need to turn IBIS completely off which I dont want to. Olympus is using EIS to fix this, I am sure that Panasonic could do the same or even better with their EIS. But we still dont have it.. after almost 3 years.

I didnt even use my monitor for my recent travels cos it was not quite run and gun, so though I took it with me I ended up just using GH5 screen all the time wishing that they would make those flip screens brighter and bigger. Imagine bringing this thing with you. So imo that is a useless thing if you take into account its wegith and portability which you trade for some minor conviniences. I dont mind tilting my monitor with my hands at all when I use it.

Can someone explain to me whats going on? I shot this with GH5 + Sigma 18-35 on a Viltrox + ND filter. I am doing VFR 4k60fps straight to 24 fps in-camera recording. Nevermind, I did find a solution. Just watch the clips in my trusty PotPlayer and than press Shitf+Del whenever I want to delete smth.

I work in Resolve and when I open freshly recorded video dir I want to go through files and delete the ones that I dont need cos they take huge amount of space otherwise. But If I do it in Resolve it takes 2 confirmation boxes to click and it always scrolls to the top of the file list which I find to be very uncomfortable. Is there any 3rd party app to do that job in a more efficient way?

Are you planning to relsease a Panasonic compatible version? Have you tried to contact Viltrox about their adapter? Asking cos I have GH5 and a Viltrox. Defenitaly not gonna buy Metabones for this. But I would cash in for Tilta controller + your app for sure.

Both A9II and A74 look like an underwhelming upgrades to me. Especially from a videoshooter perspective. Really seems like Sony slowly turning into a new Cannon.. or just they've got lazy.

Sliders are not run and gun. Thats my issue with them. Gimbals are on the other hand. You can still mimic a slider with gimbal with some skill and moderate slowmo and maybe tilt axis post stabilization.

Another problem of DFD af is that it works only with specific lenses, there are even discussions on what lenses you should buy to use it more succesfully. All adapted lenses will never work to any passable degree. And yes, it is still not reliable, it misses shots, it doesnt focus when you need it and etc etc. Its bad, cos you can miss a shot. I dont want to fuck up my shot cos of bad af implementation. I really hope Pany does PDAF in GH6 finally. I dont see any reasons why they refused to do it all this time before.

Currently trying out viltrox + sigma 18-35 on GH5 as a main all around lens. Practicing my manual focus skills and i really like the smooth zoom i am starting to incorporate into my shots. Parafocalness is also very nice to have. Also have Oly 75 1.8 in my bag, for portraits, but i want to switch it with Sigma 56 1.4 soon.

The simple alternative solution to punch-in while recording would be just a bigger screen. Even on my 5 inch monitor I dont need to punch-in to see critical focus. Its big enough so I can clearly see everything.

The internal ND is awesome! And look at the size of it! That alone doesnt leave space for anymore bullshit excuses why you cant put it in DSLR type mirrorless body. You can defiantly house it inside instead of shutter. So I dont know why Panasonic didnt do it with S1H for example. Hope it does with GH6.

Why do they both (Samsung and Sony) have that licencing resrtiction for their sensor tech? I want to see this 108 mpx sensor in something like Osmo pocket and a drone.

Did somebody try to balance Ronin-SC with GH5+speedbooster+Sigma 18-35?
