Ichikawa soft laboratory makes Silkypix and has a collaboration between various camera makers like Panasonic, Pentax and others. Because this collaboration they have access to original raw data information, so the quality of the raw conversions is very good, the best color wise. Silkypix has not the best workflow, but has the best quality.

I was a hard Apple fan for many years. Worked with mac from 1997 to 2014. The spanish financial crisis make that it was impossible to me to assume the costs of constant updates of software and to buy a new MacPro. I use a MacPro 3.1, from 2008, with 10 Gb of ram and a SSD. It was very difficult to work with HD video under Mac OS. FCPX don't worked with my mac because the graphic card was not supported. So i tried Linux. I installed more than 10 distributions and finally use Manjaro Budgie. My old Mac now flies. I can work with a good speed in 1080 and can also work with 4K (this with proxies). For video i use Lightworks (with Pro license) and Kdenlive. All my hardware works well and i experienced very few glitches. For my work i don't need Adobe, so i can use free software and a few propietary (Lightworks for video and Silkypix for raw photo files). My next computer can be a pc, but running Linux.

Yes, it's a 1000mm f/10 Rubinar i bought in Ebay for 150 euros. It's not very sharp, but it can be used for wildlife shots with reasonable quality in HD. You can see two secuences shot with the Rubinar in this vídeo. At minute 4:36 and 6:10.

Yes, you must underexpose. The moon has to be exposed as daylight. 1/125 f11 at ISO 100 or equivalents. Jupiter and other planets reflects lower light, but the exposure can be 1/60 or 1/30 aprox.

Amazing to see the moon going the opposite, from right to left. In the northern hemisphere it goes from left to right.

5 years ago i made a photo of the ISS with my GH3. I made it in photo mode with a old russian 1.000mm catadioptric lens. It was incredibly difficult to find the tiny point in the viewfinder and mantain the hight speed across the sky. I made a few dozens shots and one was sharp. It was pure luck at 1/125s. This is a 100% pixels crop.

I have the second, from Neewer. I think it's really good for the money. Works great if you don't use a too heavy set up. Using it with a GH3, cage, rods, mattebox, and fluid head makes it to flex a bit at the end if you use only one tripod. But with a lighter set up it works great, very smooth. In the image you can see the heavy set up (only for testing purposes).
