Finally some solid material about Apollos from Max Swan. These come in three flavours: 40 mm T2.1, 60 mm T1.7 and 100 mm T2.5 I reckon that no mortal will be able to afford them (the deposit for all three costs 18K $, but it's not a final price), but many rental houses may want to.

Whoah. Great video. There is no chance I'd ever said it was shot with a Sony. Those deep reds and oranges.. Anyway, if you've got skills like this, the whole color science thing doesn't really apply to you. I'd definitely watch and still pretty much enjoy it, even if the skin tones were zombie-like. Having pleasant colors is like an icing on the cake, IMHO.

I mainly rely on Generating Optimized Media in DaVinci Resolve. I set it to DNxHD SQ and a quarter of original resolution.

Viltrox will be releasing a cheaper f/1.4 counterparts in 2-months time. 23/1.4 , 33/1.4 and 56/1.4. Each for ~250 - 300$. If you don't really care about f/1.4, then f/2 primes are considered as great and reliable lenses. 23/2, 35/2 and 50/2 And if you want a zoom, then 18-55/2.8 - 4 is highly regarded and affordable.

IMHO, it's either 1917 or The Lighthouse. Joker was neat, lighting was on-point, but nothing groundbreaking. The Irishman - its main feature was the whole 'de-aging' process; to me, the results were somewhat hilarious. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood?

All Ultra Stars are 2x, so it should be easy to recognize, if it's truly an oval. Yeah, their shape is quite distinct. What also differentiates them from smaller Ultra Stars is minimum focus distance - big scopes' MFD is ~5 meters, whereas the smaller ones can be focused down to ~1.5 meter

No, they aren't always red. I've got a small golden Ultra Star. But if you find a red one, you can rest relaxed, since I've never seen a big red version of it. Re: price - they usually go for 300 - 400$. Don't be fooled by 'ISCO Micro Red' - it's just a regular Ultra Star that had one of its barrels unscrewed. Before buying / bedding make sure that it's an anamorphic adapter and not a spherical lens. Take a close look at glass and see, if it's oval.

Yup, it records 120p in HLG (1080p) with additional 1.29x crop.

Nikon E 100/2.8 is great, I have it too. Really small and handy, great results. Re: Viltrox vs Lens Turbo II - it really depends. I owned Viltrox EF-M2 for M43 and it was exceptional. No complaints. But I've also heard that Viltrox made for Fuji isn't that good and may introduce massive vignetting, as if the glass elements are too small.. I didn't care for all the electronic stuff and AF (since all my lenses are manual) and noticed that someone was selling Lens Turbo locally (for ~80 $), so I bit the bullet and got it instead. I'm happy with it.

IMHO, it's more wise and future-proof to buy Canon EF speedbooster, then adapting your Nikon lenses to EF and finally stacking these two adapters together. Canon EF is much more universal mount than Nikon F and if you ever wanted to adapt other lenses (say M42, Pentax K, etc.), there will be no problem with achieving infinity focus, etc. I do this all the time. I've got Zhongyi Lens Turbo II with EF mount even though I don't have any native Canon EF lens.

It must've been really taxing on the whole production team, wow. This BTS definitely comes to my mind: Though, truth be told, I enjoy more watching some small BTSes on Vimeo. Simply because they are not AAA titles, which have all the money and resources in the world. Here is one of my favorites (still, it's one of the fancy ones - burning down houses? being able to cast ~100 extras?)

I'm rocking X-T3 with a Zhongyi Speed Booster (Lens Turbo II) and it's an amazing hybrid for the price. Can't comment on AF, since all the lenses I own are totally manual (believe it or not). Manual focus assist modes are great and you can choose which you like best (read more about them here: https://www.jmpeltier.com/fujifilm-manual-focus-assist-modes/ ) Video files are a bit hefty (can't play them smoothly on my PC straight out of memory card) thanks to massive amounts of data they provide. It's really difficult to break them. Overall - it's the best camera I've ever had (coming from previous Sony, Panasonic and Samsung NX user).
