  1. https://jayaretv.com/collections/davinci-resolve-transitions/products/glitch-transitions I bought these just a few hours ago, work quite well. I would also subscribe to his YT channel as he is one of the few that make Resolve/Fusion tutorials.
  2. I considered the RX10 IV a few times ended up going with the Z90 for the built in ND filters, however that RX10 600mm F4 zoom is no joke.
  3. A good rule of thumb is if I need audio then 4K 24. Usually huddles and the occasional B roll shot.
  4. I'm a big sports guy so this thread is exciting for me. For you i'd recommend something like this but for a 3.2'' GH5 screen - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007POA58G?tag=makspo-20 I shoot lacrosse mainly (High school, college, and pro) as well as pro soccer. I don't work for broadcast so most of my stuff goes direct to web. Instagram and YouTube. I usually film action tight but not like NFL Films 600mm & 800mm Lens tight. So for me 150mm - 400mm is where I live. My kit is as follows.. A Camera/Daylight rig Sony PXW Z90 with this I only ever shoot 4K 24 and 1080 @ 120fps I purchased the Z90 because I started to get into more documentary stuff. For anyone that shoots sports knows you don't have time to change lenses when going from on field action 300mm to a wide 29mm for a huddle with audio. So i've found having that built in lens to be invaluable. This setup lives on a tripod which is a Libec RH25D Fluid head on the Benro A373T Legs. Also I run a lanc controller so I can control pan, tilt, and zoom with my right hand. With this setup it takes me less than a minute to get completely setup for a game wheres if I was using a mirrorless body or S35 ILC it would be something like 2 or 3 minutes. Also I get a 29 - 350mm F4 lens in front of a 1 inch sensor with 2 XLR's for when I need game audio. Which is usually a shotgun going into 1 channel and sometimes a wireless lav with either a coach or player mic'ed up into the other channel. Pros - Great image quality, a lot easier to use, faster to setup, built in lens, dual XLR's. Cons - Terrible in lowlight, autofocus in 120fps slowmotion switches to contrast instead of phase detect. No audio in slowmotion and 240fps is manual focus only. B Camera/Low light rig Sony A6300 + Sony 70 - 300 FE + Smallhd 701 I've had this setup for almost 3 years and its been a trooper. I shoot the same frame rates and resolutions as the Z90. @ 3200 ISO I still get a rather clean image and with Noise Reduction either Magic Bullet Denoiser 3 (Back when I used Premiere) and Now Resolve Studio I can do 6400 ISO. With this setup I have better lowlight performance, shallower DOF, and usually better autofocus in 120fps. I don't love manual focusing with the 70-300 but I can do it if need be. I thing I like is the focus hold button which I can use if I see another player or Ref that's about to walk in front of my shot. This setup I always run on a monopod, also I can use it for photos which is always nice. Pros - Good in lowlight, sound in 120fps, focus hold button due to lens, can take photos, Cons - The color straight out of camera isn't as nice as the Z90, No 10bit like the Z90, mirrorless camera ergos aren't as nice as a legit video camera. I have attached some photos and link to my reel to see this equipment in practice.
  5. I crop in a good bit and 4K helps with post stabilization for the few times im not using a tripod. However Its hard to tell when watching on a tiny phone screen, but I watch a ton of stuff on a 27'' and 25'' monitor so yes I can tell the difference. Also 1080p on a 4K TV usually looks kinda terrible.
  6. As someone thats an semi audiophile that audio crippling is kinda scary.
  7. Legit me for that past few months ^ I also need to find a light-room alternative, I don't do crazy photos edits so Photoshop isn't truly needed, most i'll do is use the smudge tool or place some text on the photo.
  8. I don't think MILC is true threat to S35 video camera and legit high end cinema cameras until we see an implementation of XLR's plus built in ND. Imagine if the A7siii got the varible ND filter of the FS5 and Sony already has two hot shoe XLR adapters. Only reason to buy an FS5 after that would be if you really needed that SDI or continuous recording.
  9. why not just give it a try
  10. broadcast ready meaning it is 10 bit 4.2.2 internal without the need of an external recorder.
  11. Yeah as a Sony shooter I wish there was a VG40 or VG900 successor (FS3) Handy cam form factor with built in NDs + XAVC L. They'd probably omit SDI and xlrs to seperate it from the higher End XDCAM bodies.
  12. On paper the EVA 1 is better at just about everything other than 4k 60 not being 10 bit. FS7 name carries more weight bc it's industry standard.
  13. Nikon Z6 and Z7 have just received price reductions. Definitly a red flag.
  14. C700 S35 already on sale https://www.newsshooter.com/2019/04/29/5000-off-the-canon-c700/ $5000 off lel
  15. True, it would be dank if the A7siii got mini SD instead of HDMI
  16. I think the A7siii will be the 1st to give us 4K 60 FF internal similar to how the a7sii was first to give us Full frame 4K internal.
  17. No reason to be surprised. Been this way for quite awhile.
  18. yep there's a guy on this forum that legit said "Canon is for winners" Just a few weeks ago. Can't remember who said it though rofl. It was probably Dbounce or Django ?
  19. The whole "gain doesn't matter" thing kinda blew my mind. Audio industry seems to move at snail pace compared to photo/video
  20. As expected... No ibis, No dpaf in 4k, and a huge crop for 4k. 24fps in 1080p is also ommited from this camera.
  21. Doubt it, imo I think Canon would rather sell expensive IS lenses than get into the ibis game. I expect the Digital IS tho.
  22. I hope they make a traditional single receiver with transmitter kit. I like to keep my setup as small as possible and don't need the dual receiver. (Would also be saving a few hundred $) If they do this I have zero problems switching out my Sony UWP D11's.
