Eveyone knows you can't underestimate the importance of a good camera bag. I'm still on the hunt for the perfect camera backpack so I ask what bags do you guys use for video work. Currently own and use the Sony LCS BP3 and the Camrade CB single 1. These bags are good enough but I have still have some gripes which each of them. I do own a pelican 1510 but dont use as much as I originally planned on. It's rather heavy and to cumbersome for small local gigs. I've tried the Cinebags CB23, Vanguard Alta sky 49 backpack, and the Tenba Cinelux 21. None of them really worked for me. I prefer backpacks cause I feel like I can carry more and I'm getting to that point in my videography career where my bag needs to fit in an airline overhead bin. When I travel I run a small video camera, mirrorless body with one lens for photos, 1 external monitor, wireless lav system, xlr shotgun mic, headphones, extra batteries, various cables, and SD cards. So what bag(s) do you use and how are they working for you.

What's in your Run and Gun Documentary Videography Kit?
Mako Sports replied to Mako Sports's topic in Cameras
Its to do with the counter balance - (its balanced for a fixed weight of 4 kilos (8.8 lbs) which means its rather jerky for tilts. Its marketed for lightweight cameras like dslrs and small camcorders but its definitely made for larger cameras like a DVX200 or a Sony PXW-Z190 not my A6300/Z90 combo. -
It is interesting because everyone knows that Sony is the indutry standard in tv (sports and news), something of which Canon has basically no market share in. They also have No.1 documentary camera - the FS7 which dethroned the C300mkii. I feel like on the low end canon is catering to the vlogger market and on the higher end - In house Netflix productions.

Well just like how the 6dmk2 debuted at $2k I expect this camera to drop around $1800 by Christmas time. It wont be able to compete with the A7iii.

Oof, Man going in for the kill.

Rekt canon can go ahead and hold this L

Only reason why Canon is still number 1 is because of the extremely cheap and readily available Rebel bodies. Its cameras like the 4000D (£330/€380) that keep them at the top. Then again market share isn't everything. Its all about turning a profit so being No.1 doesn't really mean anything. Because of brand awareness and loyalty Canon is the only camera company that could release a product as horrific as the 6Dmk2 and it still be met with "some" praise.

Once they sell an SDI version or make an SDI module for that connector piece I will definitely be selling my SmallHD Focus SDI for this.

I have the videomicro which I use sometimes with the A6300 and its pretty good, nowhere near as good as my Senny MKE 600 but it does the trick. -
Why Do People Hate The Nikon Z6? What mirrorless to go with
Mako Sports replied to Snowbro's topic in Cameras
FYI Sensor dust is an issue with ALL mirrorless cameras not just Sony's.. -
yeah, I think I would rather have 8 bit 422 than 10 bit 420

Canon EOS R full frame mirrorless talk hots up
Mako Sports replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
Armando did have some good points at the end though. The fact that its marketed as full frame is why most people are upset about it, myself included. -

???? "Canon Apologist makes video about the Canon EOS R" Dude is so freakin salty -
Can we all just have a big f***ing laugh about this...
Mako Sports replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
small crop or large crop at the end of the day its the typical overpriced Canon full frame dslr with a massive crop in 4K. I find it interesting that Canon is the only company company with these massive crop factors relative to the full sensor size, and the Canon apologist are TOTALLY okay with, but if Sony, Nikon, or Fuji did that there would be total outrage. Imagine the outrage if the A7sii had 1.8X crop in 4K. -

Better believe the Sony, Nikon, Panasonic, and Fuji execs are having a huge laugh about this EOS R announcement. What a joke. -

Seems like a total flop on the video side.. Photography side looks decent however. Can't wait for the A7siii now -
Yet for some reason the $7,000 C200 has no autofocus in 120P LOL
