I prefer HLG 2 wit r709 in both the A7iii and FS5. Slightly cleaner noise floor. I shot some slog 2 test footage today with both cameras, as converting slog 2 to slog 3 (or any cineon log curve) makes it a bit easier to grade. I will post results in a bit.

PC parts to performance ratio/cost is at an all time high! You don't need to $3,000 MBP to be able to edit video. You can edit 4K content on a PC under $1000.

I would like some thing that's bullet proof, the Smic 2s is built like 416. And I really only used the MKE 600 for voiceover its was just to long for my ENG style setup. I like how the DPA 4060 sounds but the Cos 11 also sounds good and happens to be of a tougher build. I work in sports where there are zero do overs, so its nice to having gear that's built tough. I don't mic players enough to warrant spending that kinda cash on a lav so my countryman B3 will have to do for now.

Recently sold my MKE 600 so now my only serious mic is the AT875R. I would love a Sanken CSm1, perfect form factor for my fs5. Just a bit to steep in price for me so i'm looking mostly at the Deity S Mic 2s.

For once I actually agree with Mokora... The only company that could ever release a lack luster product that's worse than its predecessor (6Dmkii) is Canon. I only see 1DX's/D4-D5s at sporting events. A7/5D bodies are far more common for every other genre outside of very high end commercial photography which is usually digital medium format. For every 1DX shooter there's probably 300-500 5D shooters. The pro market is very small regarding sales in comparison to bodies like the Rebel line and Nikon D3000 lineup.

As long as you have decent antivirus and aren't downloading porn you should have zero issues with viruses. If you have other Apple devices and can't live without Airdrop then that's a reason to stay Apple. I just cant see myself paying so much more especially when the 4K editing performance wont be any better.
