there should be an eoshd owners club ?

im close to puling the pin on a speed booster originally i was going to buy one to fit the tokina 28-70 in nikon mount. but thinking about it further im probably better of getting one in ef mount. that way pretty much everything can be adapted via the ef mount. At the moment i have 7 pentax m42 and the tokina. So is there any flaws in my plan

instead of whining, send him an email asking what the deal is

ok i bought it, have my camera with me as im about to go up to the local look out to test a uv filter i bought will give it a go. by the way does it allow the taking of stills instead of using the kinda annoying hard to depress on camera button (well for me anyway ) ?

are you trying to simulate a pistol barrel failure ? that shot (no pun intended) it looks all wrong to me. i have a farm and i have a few rifles as well, never seen any of them do what you seem to be portraying. its interesting i'll give you that

if its a old photography rule then i'm not sure how well it applies to cinematography. Someone that has gone through filmschool aught to be able to set everything straight i would think.

Canon removing 24p from new 4K mirrorless cameras - THE MEMES
leslie replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
i suspect your right, however i dont think that makes my statements any less valid. -
themed that gives everyone a common place to start, perhaps the winners of the last challenge could pick a theme, that frees up andrew from doing all the thinking. Im in favour of using cameras but could use a phone as well i guess. you got 92 likes double the nearest person, you needed some down voting ?

do you really need to see the logo ? is your short term memory that bad that your likely to forget which brand of cage you bought ? maybe the actors and actresses in front of the camera, need to know your a proper professional with all the right gear i guess makes me think of my boss who can afford $200000 or more to buy a black amg Mercedes. then personalize it with an additional $3000 plates that read (black amg) sheer genius some would say, but me well i kinda miss the point.

Canon removing 24p from new 4K mirrorless cameras - THE MEMES
leslie replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
So the manufacturer knows whats best for us now ? i'm not sure i agree with that view of yours, 24fps has been with us since film was invented. Its been a standard for a long time. personally i dont think removing it has anything to do with licensing fees or technical hurdles that need to be overcome they've already been there and done that. This is more about segmenting the market and bigger profits. I do have ridiculously high expectations, basically because its 2019 not 1980. If canon want me to buy a camera it needs to have all the bells and whistles, regardless of whether canon think i will need them or not. Not something that's been shot in the kneecaps and i will have outgrown in 3 months as my expectations and knowledge increase. There's a thread on here about how canon profits have plunged well if canon thinks they can keep doing dumb things like this their profits will keep plunging. perhaps media influencers and fan boy bloggers can keep flogging these cameras to new adoptees However all it will take is one smart blogger to say save your dollars and get the xyz camera as you'll probably outgrow your bargain basement camera in three months. so save yourself some dollars Another point that arises is the environment, can we really afford to keep buying tiered consumer production systems ? Say you buy a cheap camera outgrow it in three months buy something newer/ better. Hand it of to your wife, sister or brother maybe even your niece, they break it after using it three times and toss it, pretty soon we are all going to be living on top of trash piles. But the polar icecaps will have probably melted so we needed the elevation anyway ? -
kaylee its obviously not just the 13 year olds that have been blindsided ?

that opening is 23 mm wide diameter with a horizontal step down of 17-18mm i know because i just measured it. Any idea what the iphones are ? I wonder if the moondog and the moment are much smaller ? i guess they must be, anyway good luck with your project

i presume that you meant go for it grab it while you can ? i presume the downvote was a misunderstanding of your intentions i been watching ebay out of curiosity everything bmpcc or thereabouts has been going for double that price or more id say grab it anaconda

just attach it to your gopro it should fit the waterproof housing theres four screws that secure it too the plastic housing. Or there's a clamp that will hold it onto the gopro lens if you dont want to use the housing. I have 1. thats what i used on the front of my $200 camera challenge. However i secured mine to the camera with about a meter of electrical tape. i have heard some people say it helps straighten the gopro's distortion. If it does its minimal or marginal perhaps. It will fit the 3, 3+ and 4 unsure of the 5 but it doesn't fit the 6 as i tried that and i presume it wouldn't fit the 7 either. You may be able to modify it to fit later gopros or the gopro's themselves. However you'd probably kill the resale value if you did that. but thats for you to decide. maybe we should do our own little gopro challenge lol

just had some woman from india ring up about an old website i ran as a hobby. I thought it would have lapsed by now but maybe not. Their business wanted to make a proper website for me to make money off. I got handed over to a consultant who wanted to talk about affiliate links and moneytising everything photography related. which sounds great except for me its only a hobby. So i am not really that interested. I presume that they have done a who is search on my old website name and got the details from that. Not sure if its legit or not, regardless i would find someone local if i was interested. Just curious if any others have had any experiences similar ?

hmmm, what i was thinking was i hope its more than a streamlined editors control panel. I'm hoping their might be a few new sub forums. At least one for the mad scientists amongst us like kye and his frankenstein camera mods, btm would probably play down there as well, i imagine. Heck i have a dremel that hasn't seen any action for awhile. The only reason i suggest this is because threads on the main page tend to fall of the bottom of the page pretty quickly. I feel if there were a few more sub forums to do load sharing as it were, then threads would persist longer. You mentioned a little while ago about growing the site, even hosting some sort of video sharing site if i remember correctly, i presume the design change at the top is the start of it all. Not sure what sort of contacts you have in the industry or retail side of things, but could you either buy a lens or have one donated to the cause. You can then raffle it off to members of the forum. For the price of a coffee or maybe two, i'd happily throw some coin down at the chance of winning a lens. Of course you would do a video blog of someone picking the winning entry, that would have to make for some good publicity for you and a manufacturer. Well thats my 2 cents worth, not trying to tell you how to run your website, i'm just thinking out loud.

awesome, looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Although i hope its a bit more than just a streamlined control panel
-
i hope you didn't just kill off the lead actress because that would make for a short short ?
-
separate it into its various bits (not pull it apart ). i mean disconnect the supperscope then the rangefinder. just have the red anamorphic mounted to the taking lens, take some photos add on the rangfinder take some photos and the add the superscope by process of elimination you should be able to narrow the culprit down. Maybe try other taking lenses if you can. does your monitor allow you to de squeeze the image ? how does the image look de squeezed in post ?

if i'm understanding you correctly. I think its about using the gopro for more than its intended. everyone knows their great little action cameras with a really wide field of view. Swapping the lens out would give you more options than just shooting superwide, wide or linear. without affecting resolution. i seriously looked at getting the ribcage for a gopro 6 the only issue i had was the fact that crop factor on the cmount lenses was huge turning everything into a superzoom. Price was the other thing that turned me off. One day i'll look at installing a less wide angle lens on it but for the moment i'm traveling in a different direction. Maybe if andrew has another $200 cheap video challenge i might do something in that direction.

i did, maybe two days ago. although i'm not quite sure about the message it sends out. For me forums was/is a perfectly topical title. Maybe the website is about to get a revamp time will tell i guess

i wonder how things would go by sticking a medium format lens on the front with that speed booster thats been talked about. that might prove interesting. from what i have seen medium format lenses seem to have held their value better than 35mm stuff. So maybe there might not be the same amount of bargain basement gems sitting around out there. If the 6k takes off
