Advice on eBay anamorphic lens listing (No advertising)

good luck with it then. it nice to see something go to someone in the community :) -
well its arrived ? the whole box feels light, however after opening and holding it in one hand and my canon 60d in the other. they kinda feel the same weight, terribly scientific i know. it comes with 6.1 update installed, there's two cards one with full resolve on it the other has software and manual on it but yet to look at it. i did install resolve already no issues and unlike the free resolve it opens gopro4 footage no problems. yet to try the 6 as i think its.265. the battery was fully charged but its dark now, may try to film the kitten shortly and see how that goes. any questions i'd like to answer if i can. it may not show but i'm very excited

i dont think it matters, my bmp4k turned up today and i pre ordered in october, so stick you name on a list and wait like everyone else

hope i don't go too far off topic hit a bit of a rock, put the free resolve on my laptop, however the free resolve doesn't like gopro format. footage was from a 4 silver, yet to try my 6 but i'm not holding my breath. googled it and its a known issue, the workaround is to transcode it to something else first from what i have read yet to try it out. hopefully i might get my bmp4k today which will gift me a full version of resolve and a whole new camera ecosystem to learn with its own interesting quirks and nuances no doubt.

i'll bite, how do you do that ? oscilloscope or something else ? i guess its expensive or technical or both

my bad. your correct its the aperture i meat to say not sure what my brain was thinking ?

quite a few people have commented about the width of the bmp4k before now, however after seeing the internals of the bmp4k from grants latest video its easy to understand why its like it is . as there's not a lot of room left on that board to add anything else in. to add anything else would probably have the bmp4k looking totally different yet again. i get the impression that grant doesn't like cdng much, i have to speculate aloud now and wonder how much of that is influenced by wanting braw to succeed. i dont know much about braw or cdng to comment either way. i reckon that one thing is for sure with this development there will be a flutter on youtube with sensationalist titles vying for our viewing pleasure.

ok i'm slightly curious. but i have to temper my curiosity with the fact that my bmp4k is about to arrive also have an elmoscope on its way from japan. so unless it does something amazing or has golden flares perhaps, and is single focus i would think i have enough to play with for awhile. still time will tell, keep us updated please

i think i looked at that one but i think i was already looking at an elmoscope and i ended up getting the elmoscope but i see someone bought it perhaps it was you ? -
main issue with modern and af lenses is the tiny amount of shutter variation between photos results in flicker. time lapses with canon are easier in some regards. you can use the lens twist method where you unlock the lens just enough so the contacts dont touch but the lens doesn't fall of the camera or you can shoot with manual focus lenses . another benefit of canons is that you have an inbuilt intervalometer with magic lantern. also ml can do day to night or night to day as well but its not exactly set and forget but ml does make it easier. you can use jpegs but sometimes you will get banding from them. if your cheap like me the easiest way is to shoot raw then convert to tiff or another lossless format virtualdub is nice and free for making the actual time lapse sequence you can also get donald degrafts deflicker plugin for virtualdub which does help with flicker. thats how i did mine. i'm cheap so i know most of the free programs i think. one day i might upgrade to lr timelapse or one of the other programs maybe. most of my experience comes from my canon, gopros have inbuilt intervalometers as well, i think some nikons may have timelapse built in as well i'm not sure which models however. some canon point and shoot cameras can have chdk installed as well, its kinda like putting ml on a canon dslr but different i can recommend for all your timelapse needs http://www.timescapes.org/

i do as well. one of my first was a tropical low that sat off the coast. i had three levels of clouds. each going in separate directions at once was quite interesting

nice footage, very smooth looking, to me at least anyway. black + white is certainly holding its own here. good job. i wanna see more b+w now ?

they can be hilarious, i can still remember back about six years ago, a couple of blokes did a skit with sock puppets. not a lot of expense just some cardboard boxes roughly painted to set the scene, some vocals and a lot of hand gesturing plus an imaginative audience was a good evening of entertainment. if you need inspiration just look at the Muppets they have done pretty well for themselves. englands got talent had a dude that did a skit with sock puppets and a song that was pretty funny i think he was called tapemouth or tapface i forget

pretty much what snowfun said... rome wasn't built in a day. its going to take time, persistence, a large dollop of self belief and if you post anything online, a very thick skin as there's a lot of criticism out there, not much of it is constructive. its nice to be young and exuberant but that exuberance needs to be seasoned with experience, like any job anywhere in the world. not sure if a film school teaches directing as a part of the course. not even sure of the normal path one would take to become a director even if you lived in hollywood to be honest. some talented people get sponsored to attend schools to learn stuff but you would need a portfolio of work to do that. Casey Neistat is a pretty popular blogger, while blogging isn't exactly the same as directing, being a popular blogger has certainly opened some doors for him, so i think the principal still applies do something well and people will notice. i think your holding yourself back by thinking that you only have a 2011 Canon T2i for film making. i rather you develop the mindset that while you only have a canon t2i its going to be the best damn footage anyone has ever seen from that camera. can you put magic lantern on a t2i that might allow you to shoot raw, even if you could only shoot ten seconds of raw thats like a long time in a music video or a rodeo ride on a bucking bull. i think you need to become like the towns goto man when comes to video it will be hard work and feel like working three jobs for not a lot of reward at times but if your any good and persist you might just live out your dreams perhaps. just a my 2 cents worth edit : definitely have fun. having a job that is enjoyable is like a double bonus no matter what you do (well....exempting serial killers of course)

awesome, thanks for the replies guys. it was definitely an impulse buy and sometimes those impulse buys can go horribly wrong so its a bit of a relief to hear back from you guys, i couldn't see how it wouldn't work, i was just unsure why the mark two was more popular . speculating aloud, what sort of widths are we talking ? soonish i hope to have a mft mount so that's what i am planning for
