  1. Oh my, that macro blocking or whatever it is, is hideous. Never seen that on a camera tbh. Not sure what went wrong there.
  2. https://***URL removed***/reviews/image-comparison/fullscreen?attr18=daylight&attr13_0=fujifilm_xt3&attr13_1=sony_a7iii&attr13_2=apple_iphonex&attr13_3=apple_iphonex&attr15_0=jpeg&attr15_1=jpeg&attr15_2=jpeg&attr15_3=jpeg&attr16_0=12800&attr16_1=12800&attr16_2=32&attr16_3=32&normalization=full&widget=1&x=0.8544922414269147&y=0.15056123036628802 This is a great tool to use. In jpeg mode it gets you close to what video will look like.
  3. Yeah only thing that could still see improvements is Dynamic range. I never really cared about 4k let alone 8k.
  4. I am not sure if the A7III can focus or not in 120fps. Keep in mind its full frame so its using more processing power in the first place. I am pretty confident the A7000 is going to give everything the XT3 has and more. Other then color, they probably won't deliver in that department. But if its 10 bit the image will be malleable enough to do a lot with regardless.
  5. A crop doesn't take away light, so its still F2 regardless of 120p or 60p. But I am guessing you mean DOF? Sony is supposed to come out with the A7000 with 10bit and IBIS.
  6. Could be bad color grades? I doubt Canon will ever try to compete with Sony or Fuji, they'll always be two steps behind.
  7. What do you mean depending on the shooting mode? It was never a big deal to me as I've never shot full frame. A f2 prime is an F2 prime for me. I'd suggest waiting on Sony. They'll releasing the A7000 soon.
  8. I meant to say Fringer, they make the better adapter. Their auto focus is ok'ish. But its a huge downgrade from normal auto focus. You'll be dissapointed. The viltrox works but the auto focus isn't really usable, at least not continuous.
  9. I can't tell the difference on 1080 monitors without zooming in but I've never seen 4k on a 4k monitor or 8k on an 8k monitor. To me though 1080p is good enough for everything (unless you need cropping). The bigger deal breaker right now is internet viewing. 4k looks way better then 1080p on platforms like youtube due to compression. At a movie theater, ehh not really imho.
  10. I've heard good things about the Viltrox.
  11. I think all the companies are waiting on 4k 60p in full frame. They don't see it as a necessary selling point as a lot of people won't step down to M43 or APSC for 4k 60p. I would think anyone doing solely video would get a XT3, GH5/S, or BMPC4K at this point. However lots of people shoot both video and stills and that is where full frame really comes in handy. Especially true for event work where you often can't control lighting.
  12. I am interested if its worth switching over to. I have the GX85 at the moment, serves as a cheap IBIS camera. But maybe this is an improvement.
  13. Hey look it has such great ISO performance it makes lighting useless! automatic color grading and automatic cinema image! haha
  14. Yeah backing up to get a longer DOF is often not an option. I would say auto focus doesn't work for every situation but it does work for some.
  15. I laughed very hard at that video. Hard to believe someone would try to peddle that thing.
  16. A little concerning when a camera breaks down like that. But it happens with every manufacturer. You gotta have a backup if using one for anything critical but honestly I would think that has always been the case for professional work.
  17. You can always shoot further away from the subject and get a longer DOF even with a 1.8 on full frame. But yeah its pretty impractical for close ups outside of specialty situations. Most people aren't going to need 1.4 on full frame in photo or video.
  18. Yeah the sigma 18-35 vingettes with a speedbooster if used on a GH5S or Blackmagic pocket 4k. The crop is 1.8 so with a speedbooster it goes down to 1.27 or 1.15 (depending on the speedbooster you get).
