I don't think the Ninja will do too much for you in that regard. Neatvideo is your best option for that. My best workaround for lowlight is a cheap speedbooster (lens turbo) plus some cheap manual lenses(Nikon 50mm 1.8).

Ah I missed that. Yeah I rarely used 4k 60 when I had the GH5 due to that, mostly 1080p 60 which wasn't bad

Canon EOS R first impressions - INSANE split personality camera

Very true that was a big draw for Canon, the lenses. Still can't get past the IQ. But if its good enough for you go for it, certainly would make shooting easier in many ways. Though I am honestly happy with my XT3 right now, a gimbal and an 18-55 have given my so many good shots. I can throw a manual lens plus speedbooster on for a lot of stuff. I just do movements where I keep the same distance from the subject. -
Full Vlog would be a big deal for me. Don't you think being about to shoot a clean 6400 iso and pretty usable 12,800 iso would be pretty cool tho?
-
As long as you are properly exposed you can go up to 8000 imo. Depends on your needs though, for online delivery it would be fine. If you are at 6400 iso and underexposed 2-3 stops it won't look too good tho

Panasonic S1 V-LOG -- New image quality king of the hill

Ghosting from NR was taken care of as well as the blue/yellow clipping issue. Should really be an outstanding camera now. -
I am sure the GH6 will have 6k even though I have no use for it. 1080p is still fine for me lol. 6k is the new trend though

4K DSLR with no jittery / stutter video ? (Canon vs Fuji vs Sony)
thebrothersthre3 replied to DeesserLord's topic in Cameras
The EOS R is pretty much the same size as a Rebel T6i If you want something truly small check out the M6 MKii, seems to be the best bang for your buck canon camera right now. -
I think low light performance is very important so if that means a 12mp sensor I am all for it. 120fps in 4k is a must, the Z-cam E2 can do 150 and that is the same sensor as the 5S. RAW recording is a must, the Sigma FP can do it to an SSD and so should every camera from this point on IMHO. 422 10 bit up to 4k 60fps, again the Z cam can already do this. Prores internal recording should really happen. Full vlog is a must and of course IBIS.

4K DSLR with no jittery / stutter video ? (Canon vs Fuji vs Sony)
thebrothersthre3 replied to DeesserLord's topic in Cameras
Have you tried lowering the shutter speed? You should be able to do 1/48 shutter. I know back in the GH2 days a lot of people liked shooting at 1/40 shutter to get a more film look. I've heard complaints about rolling shutter for panning shots or handheld, or really fast moving objects. In terms of what you are talking about which is usually called motion cadence, I don't know. I've heard people speak highly of the motion cadence on Fuji cameras. I've heard people diss motion cadence on the black magic pocket and other people say its really nice. If you like Canon though why not upgrade to an EOS R or a 5D MK3-4 -
Pretty rad. Used GH5's are pretty easy to find in the $900 range but if you already have a G9 or want the extra stills capabilities its awesome.

Any issues with it wide open?

Try Eterna with custom WB and see what you think. Flog is known to be difficult to grade. The GH5 has a very low rolling shutter in 4k, but its not known to have great color or motion cadence. You could try a Nikon Z6, they come up used for around $1500. I'd also suggest the 18-55 kit lens, its very nice in comparison to the cheaper 15-45. I've never really understood what people are talking about in regards to motion though. Try 1080p see if you like it any better. -
I second the 55mm 1.8, very nice lens, and its also tiny, which I don't think you can complain about. For portrait stuff I'd rarely shoot wide open, I like the entire face to be in focus.

Seems like a good little option. Wonder how decent 3200 iso is for video. If AF holds up with say the Viltrox focal reducer it might be a really awesome option.

Saw the Lighthouse the other day. Not really my cup of tea but it was incredibly well shot and acted. -
That's true, but as a general investment I'd much prefer something else. US regulations are pretty lax right now fortunately (depending a bit on the state of course), unlike Canada. Of course if you want to be 100% legal without a license this would be a great way to make that happen. Hopefully other companies will follow suite. My Parrot Anafi is close to being the same weight just like 90grams over

As a working professional I wouldn't use anything that only has auto controls, if they fix that it would be hard not to get one though.

What is the absolute cheapest high CRI light available?
thebrothersthre3 replied to kye's topic in Cameras
Yeah of course putting on gels takes down the power of the light by a lot. -

I'd suggest a used Lowel DP. You can use them with a 1000w or 500w bulb. 1000w gives you a ton of light. Keep in mind where you'll be using it, obviously won't look great mixed with daylight. But yeah can't really go wrong with those lights. Will last forever and provide a ton of high quality light. They are also pretty dirt cheap used. Combine with a dimmer and you are good to go. Avoid the omni lowel lights, bulbs tend to burn out easily and they are just not as good. -
Canon EOS R first impressions - INSANE split personality camera

I am very cheap that's why haha. I've found the auto focus to be very usable. Its not Sony like though. I would love if it had object tracking. It seems to stay locked on wherever you have the focus box, but if its a moving subject it can be hard to keep it there. Eye AF works well but sometimes it randomly hunts especially if you need it locked in place for a good while(for example speeches) I tend to switch it off for things like that. -

I have a Ninja 2, wish it did 60p. -
I forgive them as its their cheapest model drone. Canon gimps their flagships/high end products which is idiotic.
