Shooting with the Panasonic S1 in Barcelona
thebrothersthre3 replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
Thats damn good getting close to Ursa Mini territory. I am not sure they will get more dynamic range in V-log then HLG though. If Vlog does indeed capture more dynamic range I doubt it'll be more than a stop more. 12.6 stops like the URSA would be amazing. -

Nice shots. Yeah I know they were his not yours. I don't think dramatic highlight recovery is needed very often in most situations. -
Maybe only for US customers. ?

Bottom photo is a little hot. I serious about pm'ing me tho not trying to mock you. -
I would like if they released a 1080p unlimited record time, I am sure its doable and probably an easy firmware fix.

You don't need to have a large Instagram following to make money doing photography though. PM me your IG if you want, I Wouldn't mind following you. -
I don't know it is pretty much a full frame GH5. The GH5 has low rolling shutter because its a small sensor. It also has higher bitrate for video, though the All-i on the GH5 doesn't grade any better than Long GOP and isn't any more detailed. For me its GH5 low rolling shutter vs S1 3 stops better ISO performance, full frame FOV, full V-log. IBIS performance is kind of yet to be seen.

The Nikon Z6 will be the firat consumer camera to output 12 bit video

I'd not mind an external recorder with no monitor at all, just make it as compact as possible with SSD's as the recording media. -

10 bit Nlog is probably pretty nice in the meantime. I think you've been a fan of the Nikon image in the past right? This might be a good option for you espiecally since you are a RAW enthusiast. Not that you need anything more than your 5D3 setup. -

I don't know the 1DX MK2 tech is up their with all the modern sensors from Sony. They just don't want to put it in a cheaper body. -
The 18-55 is a bigger lens which I think is why it focuses nicer for me. I imagine the 35mm 1.4 should focus pretty nicely too as its on the large side.

Yeah its one of the reasons I went with Fuji as people seem to like the motion cadence with them over Panasonic. The good thing about Prores Raw is the files sizes should be relatively small. True and I won't be using the Nikon Z6 either. That said full frame 4k 12 bit raw for $2500 is pretty cool with IBIS and a crazy low light sensor. -
Canon is pretty hilarious. If you hold the XT30 to the XT3 in terms of innovation the XT30 is disappointing. But Fuji already gave us a great affordable camera so you can't complain. Its also the nicest camera in its price range IMO. I am glad they don't handicap auto focus in their cheaper bodies like Canon. People who want cheaper bodies probably don't need 10bit or 4k 60p but auto focus is a great feature for anyone, probably more so for lower budget people.

There seems to be a slight noise coming from my 23mm f2 though its very very quiet. I hear nothing on the 18-55. I just tried the linear mode, actually works really well especially on the 18-55. Still prefer manual glass.

When Will Camera Companies Make HDR Video Like This?
thebrothersthre3 replied to Snowbro's topic in Cameras
Twice the line resolution but yeah. If the two frames are recorded exactly at the same time seems like it would work. Seems to be a limitation with a lot of attempts like the Z-cam, not sure what tech is limiting the precision. -

12 bit Pro Res RAW could have some mojo
