I wonder if that Motel shot is all natural lighting. Very nice looking, highlights aren't blown out. Those shots are very well composed and are also nice looking locations.

Just an observation while recording today. I got the best results using auto focus by setting it to multi. Worked better than using area or touch focus. Custom settings were -2 speed and +3 tracking. Touch works well but when operating a gimbal its pretty hard to touch the screen while concentrating on getting your movements right and keeping the gimbal steady.

Is a6500 1080p footage Better When Recorded Externally?

Not if you are one of those megapixel junkies though. I'd be content with it. -
Getting by with 8 right now lol, not ideal tho. Seems like processor and GPU is really the critical part. I need more storage more than I do RAM right now though, just tried to render something to find I had 1gb left on my SSD ?

Looks like you can get em for about he same price as the A6500, used that is. Not as good of a stills camera if you are a photographer as well tho. -

Doesn't the original A7S have a S35 crop mode? -

Nice to here on the Ronin S. I'm debating whether to get one or a ronin M. Used to own a ronin M and switched to a Beholder DS2, but it's pretty jittery unless I use IS. Also I'd like to go to that resort ?? -
Still better than nothing, but apparently it can't be used in video??

Z Cam E2 will have ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY FPS in 4K??
thebrothersthre3 replied to IronFilm's topic in Cameras
uh yeah, he mentions in the comments that the camera was changing color temperature after being set manually. The camera has a lot of issues I wouldn't really be surprised it there was some issue with WB honestly as there have been issues with other basic functions on the camera. -
The Tom Antos video actually looked pretty great if he was using no IS or post stabilization.

If we were talking about any other camera I would agree. -

Yeah but it looked pretty odd considering it looked like a normal sunny day where 5600k usually looks, well normal. -

The Everyday Dad commented that he had the Z cam set to 5600k btw. -

I wonder how much money companies make selling their cheap ass cameras vs higher end stuff. Whenever I am at a touristy place where people carry cameras is like 90% cheap Canon cameras. Those type of cameras go for around $200 at walmart or best buy, old tech in cheap bodies. I imagine the costs of development on all the higher end hybrid cameras is a lot and how many people are actually purchasing them. -

EOSHD Opinion - The Sony A6400 is an absolute turkey
thebrothersthre3 replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
Yep I've seen that on other cameras, though pretty much shot all my A6300 stuff on manual glass tho. -
I wonder why, that is a complete bummer.

I am really wondering what the XT30 will have. Smaller body and lower resolution screen probably. They might put a flip screen. I know for sure it'll have XT3 style auto focus. The big question is will it get 4k 60p or 10 bit recording?

Would be amazing but I heard Black Magic is not going to be letting other companies use their RAW codec. If true certainly a bummer. That said Zcam said on the facebook group RAW recording will be enabled in future firmware updates, so thats cool none the less. -

I just skimmed through the review but I still am tempted to buy it after watching. 422 Nlog looks great. IBIS is more useful to me with longer lenses anyways. Hoping a firmware update will fix that issue though. -

Yeah a few people on Facebook weren't able to look at playback, kind of a big issue. It's definitely more buggy than any camera I have seen, but its a super small company and they have been super open about the whole process which is encouraging. -
Bro I agree with a lot of what you said on the GH3 and GX85. It is without a doubt a great little camera and for some the features you'd get with a G85 or GH5 would not be worth the cost. However I don't think coming on here and calling other people's opinions bullshit is very respectful or demanding people present video comparisons made by them after the presented perfectly legitimate 3rd party sources. Just sayin...

Yeah it was 2k, though I said 1080 in the title. I list it as 2048-1080 in the description though. It was shot at Flog with the eterna Lut applied, 24p, 50ss (should have been 48), -3 NR, -4 sharpness(which is all the way down).

Looking at the image comparison tool on Dpreview they look very close. The Z6 also looks very close to the D850 in terms of noise performance, which isn't a bad thing. Thats comparing RAW photos. Jpeg and video is more about how good the NR algorithm is. I have a feeling its the lens. Sigma's are usually super sharp, even wide open. Was there a light source when you were shooting in low light? Would be interesting to see the video if you have time to upload it. -

I'd say the Z-cam could be a better tool for pro work due to the body. Thats ignoring that its a small relatively unknown company. Once they get their latest firmware out it should be a lot better. I wouldn't buy it at the moment. They are doing a lot of work on their auto focus system developing AI, so that could be interesting. I'd be more interested in waiting until their next camera release which will probably be S35 from what I have heard.
