The Nikon Z6 is very tempting for me right now. Throw on one of those $150 original atomos recorders and you get 1080p 10 bit prores 422 full frame. Once the P4k gets Braw(I had thought Black magic confirmed this?) I'll be very tempted. Raw with small files would just be awesome.

Why so?

EOSHD Opinion - The Sony A6400 is an absolute turkey
thebrothersthre3 replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
Yeah I had the A6300 last 60 minutes after hacking it. Confident I used it for a play recording and it shut off 25 minutes in. That's when I sold it, never would happen with my Panasonic. Let's see an indoor test or warm climate. Vloggers don't need long record times tho. -

That would be interesting, doesn't exactly mean they improved noise performance but I guess its possible. -
What Do Y'all Think of The Kinefinity Mavo LF?

Their cameras look pretty dope in general. Pretty pricey tho and like IronFilm said, never see them second hand let alone cheap second hand. -
Yeah they sell em on ebay for $500 and that is brand new units.

I don't know about that low light part. I remember it being good up to 4000 iso, 6400 iso was meh and past that was pretty noisy. The auto focus is pretty dang cool though. -
Don't some of the Fuji lenses cover full frame? I would be surprised if anyone made an adapter to fuji though, would be a small market I imagine.
-
True unless its one of those vloggers with very deep pockets. Without the grip and a tiny zoom lens it should be pretty light. IBIS is a big advantage for the vlogger types. Hopefully it has good battery life, though IBIS usually kills batteries quick.

Than that will be the last decision he ever makes

The Fuji really is a nice camera. I have to say the Braw out of the Pocket 4k is very tempting, that extra highlight recovery is what I thirst for?

I don't know if I object. You'd have to be crazy to try to wade through a minefield. ?

I don't know at least for me the jello effect is less noticeable on wider lenses. I do get the point on barrel distortion. Stabilization definitely helps alleviate the issue in many circumstances but even if the camera is on a tripod say you are shooting a train passing or really anything moving, the effects of the rolling shutter will be noticeable. Not that most people are shooting trains passing by frequently. ? -
any examples on the tube

A wall just seems so primitive. I watched a video some dude made about a motion detect drone system. Seems practical and cheap.

Didn't notice the pricetag. Looks like it could be an ideal vlogging camera if it has A9 quality auto focus and a flippy screen. Thats a lot of money though.

Looks pretty awesome. Panasonic's response should be juicy.

I definitely think it is important, also somewhat depending on the camera you shoot on. People who don't know what they are doing shooting in log and then trying to grade in post can definitely be a mess. I am color blind and really dislike color grading. I usually just make minor adjustments with color curves, sometimes color wheels, try to get the scopes and waveform looking where they should. Always use a lut with Log.

Yeah cameras have good lifespans and at that point you know it's not a lemon. I mean a new item with 1 year warranty is safer but of course if it breaks outside the warranty you are screwed as well.

I really have no doubt the A7000 will be a beast(would be shocked if it wasn't better than the XT3 in terms of specs). One of the reasons I said the sensor as I think that is where the slow readout/RS came from. I am not tech savy enough to know. If it was a processor issue it seems like the A6400 wouldn't have the issue anymore as the A9 processor should be fast enough to handle anything you can throw at it. -
$40 is kind of chump change when you look at the overall price of the kit.
-
Yeah no one is going to know the difference between HQ HD upscaled to 4k. I've been saying this for a long time but if 2k is good enough to project on a theater screen, than its good enough for anyone's home screen. You lose the ability to crop in post and all that but I do think the C100 or C100 MK2 or C300 are great deals used. If I wasn't already 3 cameras and 4 lenses into Fuji products I'd be getting a C100 MK2 and C300 used.
-
Yeah unless you are buying used where they are going for like $900-$1400 sometimes with accessories.

I hate on Sony all the time but in the end the A73 is probably the best all around camera you can buy, especially for the price. If they trickle down their high end cinema camera color to their hybrids they will be unbeatable. Until then I am happy with Fuji.
