Metabones is not happy hunting BM lately after all ? They allready released a product that propably noone will buy since differences with M43 speedboster are almost zero and new BM camera clients will propapbly turn to ΒMPCC6k. After all why build something like that since clients could just buy a lens that will cover their needs propably in better way ? Stop thinking alltime on puttting a glass in front of your lens unless you don't care about your lenses image print.

The adapter with variable ND filter is Canon. So it's just RF mount. ps the only thing that BMPCC6K will be jealous off is the 4K SDI out. If price exceeds 3k will be a disaster.
-
I have seen a naked RED epic balanced on a Ronin S. I believe you will be ok
-
BMPCC6K sensor is 23.10mm x 12.99mm . Since Canon aps-c sensor is 22,2 x 14,8 there is small chance that there would be a vignette but I really doubt about that.

Tottaly right. Increased width and weight are only physical differences.

It's never too late to cut off the price in half.

These are questions for lens topic. But yes they are.

Blackmagic to announce new camera related news at 12 noon PDT (8pm London)
nathlas replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
Well can we just stay in one topic or merge those two ? My dear admins ? ? -
1) Lens compatibility with current Mini ursa Ef mount owners (for same reason they keeped the versy same succesfull body in order that BMPCC4K users will not get mad on spend for accessories) 2) EF users are still almost the majority of canon users. RF users are but a small portion right now and with these prices I doubt will increase soon. So if you were in BM's command which mount you would choose ?
-
That would be my question too. Is a Sony sensor or another source ?
-
No chanse Sigma FP will cost more than 2κ $. Propably will be around 1500-1800$. Image quality will define which proposition is better. ps We live in a wonderfull tech age for our interests guys. It's a bless that small companies like BM and Sigma offer this kind of products at these prices. Thank God that we don't expect that from Sony, Panasonic, Canon, Arri and Red. BlackMagic is the new RED.

Sigma dual zoom set (18-35 & 50-100) seem to be the identical lenses that someone would buy for this camera.
-
It never is. Look latest Sigma MC21 that never achieved C-AF work with its own lenses. MC-1 was better on that but data "translation" that occurs between adapter and third party lenses is always away from native lenses.
-
Neither is Sigma 24-70 f2,8. wtf ? Have they tried all lenses or they add only what they have allready tested ?

Panasonic S1 V-LOG -- New image quality king of the hill
nathlas replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
Α9's main issue for video use is DR that is far inferior than A73 for example. Of course new A9II will be improved but I don't think that those cameras are for our breed. There is nothing to compare with S1 that seems to be a GH5S with FF sensor and ibis. -
You need a bigger moter in this case. ?

They will propably do on second wave (s2 etc) -
I believe that new camera will start with something like F1 or FV1. S (from SD1 serie) has been catched now.
