  1. DPReview just published X-T3 lab test for video, the 120P quality is significantly better than A7 III and GH5. https://***URL removed***/reviews/fujifilm-x-t3-first-impressions-review/7
  2. Sadly it's true https://***URL removed***/reviews/fujifilm-x-t3-first-impressions-review/7 Select X-T1
  3. NDA lift on X-T3 sensor, it's now listed on Sony Semicon website, as IMX571 https://www.sony-semicon.co.jp/products_en/IS/sensor2/products/index.html
  4. OMG you're the DIY perk guy!! I'm a huge fan! Every time I see LED lights I think of you ?
  5. fps means a lot. In order to get 60 frame per second (which is 1000 millisecond), the sensor readout/rolling shutter has to be minimum 16.7ms per frame (1000ms/60). X-T3 4K 60P rolling shutter is exactly 16ms to meet the bare minimum. For EOS R's 4K 30P cap, 33ms is the bare minimum.
  6. So far it has been quite reliable for me and there's definitely a performance boost. 2019 updated the GPU acceleration engine, have you updated your GPU driver?
  7. I got a response from Atomos saying they are going to get a loaner X-T3 to investigate. I'm kinda surprised they didn't test it with the actual camera before product launch...
  8. Sony will announce something on the 16th, might not be A7SIII related though.
  9. Adobe just released massive updates to the Creative Cloud apps. I'm thrilled to say that Premiere Pro performance with X-T3 H.265 HEVC files has been significantly improved!
  10. Because Canon Log stays in BT.709 gamut while F-log uses BT.2020 gamut, without correct mapping the F-log shot would appear extremely dull. I believe EOS R can also output BT.2020 externally.
  11. I'm thrilled to say that Metabones just confirmed in an email that they are working on EF-X Speedbooster and some other new products!
  12. Around A7S III announcement, Sony may also announce their own set of "focal reducers" for pro video products, seems to be called "compressor", E to E mount for use on Super 35 E mount camcorders. If used on E-mount mirrorless such as A6500, PDAF points will be limited to 144.
  13. Did you set the stabliser setting in the app to Panasonic? Did you connect the microUSB to the tilt motor? Did you power on the gimbal first before the camera?
  14. Another example showing the discrepancy between internal log recording and Ninja V recording, pretty drastic!
  15. Why not Z CAM E2? Same sensor as Pocket 4K and much more feature set. It's shipping now.
  16. It was a slip of tongue. He meant auto iris was stepped. auto ISO on X-T3 is completely smooth (I have it and tested), X-H1 fixed it with a firmware update. There's no way for FUJI to take a step back on X-T3.
  17. What's BS about that? The add-on unit(s) allow A7S III to interface with AXS-R7. The previous post was a rundown of total cost for full blown RAW workflow. I wouldn't even call it rumour, as it's part of NDA lifts, we'll see more soon.
  18. I think people are comparing GH5S with X-T3, not GH5.
  19. X-T3 120p has 1.28x crop. 1.5 x 1.28 = 1.92x relative to FF It's multiplication, not addition. Regarding HFR bitrate, it doesn't need to be very high because HFR footage have very small motion difference in between frames, which is highly efficient for interframe compression. X-T3 does 120P at 200Mbps Long GOP, and ALL-I is not available for HFR including 4K 60p, likely due to processing power constraints.
