In the process of setting up my new combo of; XT3, Ronin S and Ninja V. Installing the Ninja on the left after removing the focus wheel which doesn't work with Fuji as far as I am aware (?) and I don't need anyway and replacing with some 3 SmallRig components. On the right, I'm looking for something to attach an Anker battery pack (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B071JWNQ8Y/?coliid=I2OTU7HC8RWVE4&colid=2DVR98NBVNPO6&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it) which powers the camera. But what attachment and on the right as it balance out the weight of the Ninja on the left. I'm thinking some kind of vertical rail maybe and attaching the battery pack with plastic zip ties. Anyone done this or similar and have any advice? Cheers

I’ve left the office but 99.9% it’s also set 4K. Pretty sure it’s the cable... Broke the first one I already had (don’t ask, I just did). Replacement looks like HD only. All my faith now resides on ‘your’ chrome job @androidlad !

Page 3/5 Movie Setting = 4K Movie Output set as SD 4K and HDMI 4K so guessing it's the cable? I've ordered the cable you mentioned in another thread and it arrives in a couple of days...

Who else has this set up and more specifically, do you know of any walk through guides for dummies?! I am very familiar with the XT3 (and the XH1 previously and XT20 before that and other cameras all for video) used with a Feelworld field monitor. However, this Ninja V is a whole new world to me... Pretty sure I have it all set up in camera OK: 4K 16:9, 50P (yes I do want that) 200Mbps, H.265 set to the default 4:2:0 to SD and 4:2:2 HDMI 10 bit, Long GOP, SD Flog and HDMI Flog It is then setting up the Ninja where I am getting a bit lost. Watched a number of vids on YouTube but not managed to find a decent set up one, never mind a specific XT3 one (but maybe too new for that?). First thing that struck me was top left display it reads (in) HDp59.94 Flog. Hmmm, unless I am being especially stoopid, it should read 4K 50p Flog, which suggests to me that maybe the HDMI cable is not up to it? Then there are various set up items that I would expect to be able to change but cannot...but that is maybe getting ahead of myself. Ideally, I could do with a day's hands on classroom and am about to go looking for anything like that, but meantime, anybody have any links to anything on YouTube etc or specific firsthand pointers in regard to this set up, I'd appreciate it if you could chime in. GH5 or XT3 at this budget. If you already have the glass, then GH5 is pretty much a no-brainer. If you fancy the change, XT3. The XH1 is a good alternative, but only if IBIS is a priority over the rest of the spec. IMO the XT series of bodies are a bit small & fiddly...and not quite as capable of course. I think if it's going to be a 2020 product as most think likely, they have to move their battery game on. I'm one of the few that doesn't really have an issue with it and can get 1000-1500 frames out of a single battery on any recent X cam, but seem to be in a minority. But the two things folks seem to want is a bigger battery (and the equiv Sony does kill it!) and a flippy screen. Personally, not bothered with the flippy either as I use an external monitor for video on my XT3 and the standard tilty job on the XH1 is all I need for stills. If they don't do something about the battery though, the internet and YouTube are just going to bleat about it! Maybe even the battery from the GFX series? It exists, - just got to make a body to take it surely plus a bit of electronic tweakery?

Ideally, a Fuji XH2 which according to my spec would be; updated XH1 to include larger battery, XT3 sensor. Maybe in 2020... However, right now, they could cease XH1 sales and knock out an XH1S with just the sensor of the XT3. Easily.

Yep. IMO the XH1 is a vastly underrated camera. I'd still take my XT3 for video, but for stills, I prefer my XH1. The XT2 however is now incredible value, especially for anyone not earning a living from their kit and doesn't need that last nth degree of capability.

Z6’s would be my first choice also if I was not so heavily invested (and genuinely loving) my XT3/XH1 set up. Lack of 60p 4K was the sole dealbreaker for me as I shoot a lot of slow mo for my wedding work. If it had been able to do that, once I got over the wobble of a single card slot (it essentially is for video and Fuji anyway), I probably would have done it. Not unhappy I have not however and amusing as it is to keep abreast of all the recent offerings, the greenest grass is what I already have.

I think to be fair to the R.I.P. and Canon, it will sell in bucketloads as the vast majority of consumers are not; videocentric people as on this forum or others like it, or YouTubers and their followers or general camera nerds, but people who will walk into a camera shop and buy whatever uninformed person who works there (this week) sells them. Probably a better camera for stills shooters than video and to be further fair to Canon, a good growing (if expensive) lenses. But I still spit on you Canon

Indeed. They could probably do it now using the battery from the GX and a bit of re-engineering, but otherwise yes, sadly.

"You show me the perfect camera!!" If they'd just but the internal organs of the XT3 into the body of the XH1 with a bigger battery et voila! Maybe next year eh...?

There is nothing anyone is (currently) doing that tempts me away from Fuji (XT3 video, XH1 stills). Towards the end of last year, I began casting glances in the direction of the Nikon Z6 and Canon EOS R and whilst both have credits, not enough. Sony. No thanks. The iii looks very capable both on paper and in reality, but I just don't feel it. The Panny S1 comes closest, but not enough...at least not yet, to make me move. And now this pair of 'B' ('C'?) cameras... Nope, not quite for the XT30, but better effort than the R.I.P. What is it with all the manufacturers? Just give us what we want, a Fuji XH2

I was potentially in the market for one of these needing a 4th body, but the pros of the XH1 have swung the decision for me. Extra size/bulk (a plus for me), build, handling, IBIS, super snicky shutter sound, - the XH1 is a joy. (Already have one in my stable, - XT3, XH1 and XE3). Plus they are now below 1000 euros in Europe with high street dealers. Insane price for what you get and IMO, the most underrated of recent Fuji X cams.

Definitely getting one within the next few weeks. I have been looking for an option for 'filler' material at weddings (I already use an XT3 on monopod for considered work and I don't have/use a gimbal) and for walking into rooms, drifting through the crowd, kitchen plating up, servers serving etc type shots, it's 50p 4k moderately gradeable footage should work nicely and grade like my Mavic Air footage. Hopefully... Whip it out of back pocket (or more likely shoulder camera bag) and now that it has the pro mode without resorting to phone, shoot for a few seconds and then put it away. Rinse & repeat throughout the day as required. Not perfect and in lower light especially, it's not going to be brilliant, but sufficient as a 'C' cam IMO.

New member here so appreciate I have next to zero credibility, but an XT3 user specifically for video. I was using an XH1 last year and an XT20 the year prior, but the XT3 is by far and away the best hybrid I have used to date. I use mine on a Sirui freestanding monopod only so have no issues with it not having IBIS (and use my XH1 for anything handheld). I don't use any native lenses, but principally the Sigma 18-35 with variable ND and the Fringer Pro and eye AF and whilst it's not quite as fast as Fuji's own zooms, it's actually pretty good, even in low light. Where I find Fuji's eye and face AF doesn't work so well is at a distance, but the April firmware looks like it's going to make it quite special. When I need something longer, I swap over to the Samyang 50mm T1.3 which is a superb '75mm' equiv option. Manual focus only. But why the Sigma 18-35 over any native options? Quite simply, f1.8 throughout the focal range. Meanwhile, Fuji's own 16-55mm is at f2.8 and the 18-55mm at the longer end, f4. As a wedding photographer who also shoots video, the low light capability is a must for me as is having AF for the times when I need the camera to be recording whilst I'm shooting stills at the same time, such as entrances/exits/confetti etc. Heavy/bulky? Yup, a bit, but a couple of inches shorter than the MK lens and including the adapter, faster and 1/5th of the price...though I'm considering one for next year! Want to go lightweight and mobile... the pancake-like 15-45mm is great outdoors. Ninja V next to replace the Feelworld 5" I was running last year.

Absolutely ZERO chance of IBIS happening with this body. I was considering one as my new 'B' camera for this year's wedding season, but going to go with another XH1 instead (an XT3 being my 'A'). Looks like a nice upgrade over the XT20 though which I personally found a bit clunky.
