  1. Will do! The seller told me he got a couple hours on the larger batteries. They actually designed the micro HDMI port in a clever way. It’s recessed at a diagonal angle in the bottom corner with support walls on either side of the inlet that seem to be custom fit to the cable connector so that the plug is secured and is prevented from getting stressed at the actual connection. Pretty cool.
  2. Just got my Micro rig and powering via SmallHD Focus works perfectly with the DC coupler dummy battery.
  3. Now that's an interesting thought. It wasn't that long ago that Apple was selling RED kits on their own online store too.
  4. Yeah, I’m guessing licensing costs. Cant believe this was filed in May and no press have covered it.
  5. Ok good to know. Might stick with the Sigma for now then. Curious to compare the 3:1 to lossless raw. Couldn’t find many comparisons online.
  6. Interesting. I thought Alicia Robbins said it would. But of course hers wasn’t a final model too so a lot of features may be TBD.
  7. Will do! Yeah, I’m excited to try it out. I might end using the CineEye instead of the Focus so I can remotely monitor and control from the OLR app. I picked up a speedbooster but thinking the Lumix 12-35 might be nice for having OIS as none of my Canon primes have any.
  8. Yeah, apparently. I didn’t realize that either. Look at pic 6. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F323866768893 I confirmed with the seller as well.
  9. Thanks. I just checked Amazon and it seems that my 2016 Sandisk card is supported but the 2017 one I bought has the SDSDXXG prefix. Can’t physically tell them apart so guess I’ll just have to test. The rig I bought has a SmallHD Focus that apparently can power the camera from the monitor’s NPF, but I may end up getting that adapter too. Thanks for the tip!
  10. Okay @crevice I just pulled the trigger on a Micro rig with the One Little Remote on eBay. I’m blaming you ??
  11. Thanks! I’m eyeing one on eBay with the One Little Remote v1 ?
  12. @socs @crevice Sorry just had to chime and I say agree with you both. Have almost picked up a Micro so many times but I’m afraid the usability would slow me down. Just wish for an updated camera with that same sensor. ?
  13. Although they also just added custom LUTs with the new firmware which was the only other feature I really wanted that it was missing. Hmmmm
  14. I heard on the Facebook group they had to abandon Cineform raw so I’m wondering if this is uncompressed. Worried the workflow will be cumbersome having to transcode in their custom app. The prospect of smaller, easy to edit BRAW and ProRes RAW are more enticing to me at the moment.
  15. Curious to hear people’s experience editing multicam of C200 CRM raw files on Mac. I have a spec’d out 2015 15” quad core i7 MBP with 16GB RAM and I do music videos with 6-9 cameras angles. I’m thinking this would be out of the question without transcoding as I can’t even edit multi cam 4k H.264 in Final Cut Pro without transcoding. This is partly why I bought a Ninja V to avoid the transcoding process Anyway, I’d like to move to raw but thinking I may need ProRes RAW or BRAW for my use case. I did download some CRM test clips and it seemed maybe almost workable, but it’s right at the borderline. I’m afraid it would bottleneck my edits without a laptop upgrade or transcoding though. I can’t find many good reports of editing performance via the ol’ Google. BTW, Davinci Resolve 15 performed worse than FCPX on my laptop for CRM. I prefer Resolve for grading functionality but FCPX for performance.
  16. FYI... So, I thought I did my homework on the limitations with the MC-21, but I overlooked this in the fine print: ・Touch AF cannot be used. https://www.sigma-global.com/en/news/2019/03/29/2091/ Apparently the Touch AF specifically does not work with the MC-21. (Panasonic's own support was pretty much worthless as they told me that AF ON must be pressed for Touch AF to work. I believe that is NOT true, and it will work with native L-mount lenses.) Most people probably won't miss this feature, but for me it's big bummer as I was banking on being able to use the Lumix Sync app to acquire focus remotely (like Canon and the GH cameras) and not have to sink money into expensive L-mount lenses. I might try out the Sigma 45mm before I decide to give up on the camera though.
  17. Okay, thanks for the report. I have a 32 GB Sony G card (R: 440MB/s W:400MB/s). Maybe I'll try reformatting the card since it sounds like an isolated thing. I was worried this was normal writing performance!
  18. Wow that’s concerning. Well, I’ve noticed when using only an XQD card, I record very short 10-20 second clips in 4K v-log 10-bit 150mpbs, the camera takes 10-20 seconds to finish writing to the card. It completely locks the camera up which is super frustrating. Never seen this on any other DSLM with SD cards. Really weird as this is the XQD card with vastly faster write speeds! I’m on v1.2 as well.
  19. Was hoping they might include a waveform view in the firmware updates.
  20. Well, dang. I also overlooked that there’s no 10-bit 1080p 24fps (only available in AVCHD)! Lowest frame rate you can go in 10-bit HD is 30fps. Argghhh
  21. Anyone with the MC-21 gotten the touchscreen AF-S to work? With the Canon 20mm f/2.8 the box moves but won’t actually focus unless I hit the shutter or AF on button. Tried in Lumix Sync app and same sort of thing where box moves with no focusing. Videos I’ve seen and the manual led me to believe a single tap would trigger the actual focus. Could be my Canon lens maybe?
  22. I believe I’m using WD Blue in my Ninja V and haven’t had any issues yet with X-T3, EOS R, Z6, and A7 III Also have some off brand OCZ that came with my Ninja from eBay. That has worked okay as well.
