  1. Another question for you guys.. I just bought this Feelworld FW568 monitor: https://amazon.com/gp/product/B07J5C98NW/ And it has an option for DC output with a dummy battery. I don't have it yet but from the contents list, it looks like it doesn't come with the cable or dummy battery. Can anyone recommend one with the BMPPC4K? There seem to be a few. Also, I'm guessing I need to remove the battery door too?
  2. Hey guys - I'm not sure where to put this post but has anyone noticed that when using the mobile version of this site, the Search This Topic is not available?
  3. Appreciate the insight. I think I'll stick with the 12-35mm and run it with a Black Mist Pro Filter to take off some of the hard edge.
  4. On the subject of speedboosters, if I wanted to go with Viltrox and the Sigma 18-35mm Art lens, would this be the correct one? https://amazon.com/gp/product/B072XF4L4J There's no autofocus with these, right? Thinking about whether I should try this instead of the Lumix 12-35mm. Any input appreciated.
  5. Ok great, I'll see if I can get a 3.5mm to XLR converter for my Rode then. Thank you.
  6. Any of you guys running into problems with really low volume on the mic port?
  7. Great, thank you for sending me the link. I'll see if one of those will work. I'd really like to stick with either SD or CFAST so I don't have to bother with mounting an SSD but it looks like a T5 is the cheaper option. How do you have yours mounted?
  8. Anyone successfully used the SanDisk Extreme Pro 170 mb/s card for 4k/60p? I just tried and it stops after 3 seconds. 24p was fine. I could have sworn I read someone posting on the Resolve forum that this worked. https://amazon.com/gp/product/B07H9VX76D
  9. Hi BTM_Pix, When I went looking for your app today, I noticed a couple of other Blackmagic Pocket 4K remote apps there. Can you tell me the difference between those and yours?
  10. Can anyone recommend a good LUT pack out there?
  11. Hi Stathman, Could you also please put up the 'LUTCalc HLG Rec709 LUT'? Thank you!
  12. What's the color shift correction? Are you talking about the levels thing?

    I need a hug

I honestly thought this was a Blackmagic Pocket 4K waitlist support thread. Hope you feel better soon.
  14. What are you guys using to transcode to Cineform?
  15. Hey guys, Watching Mitch Lally's video on color grading HLG today makes me want to give it another try. Thoughts on it?
  16. My laptop doesn't play Fuji XT3 H265 files well either although PotPlayer does a better job than VLC or MPC. Also, is your laptop one of those dual card setups? If yes, try setting it to NVidia for the App in the Control Panel.
  17. What kind of performance are you guys getting in Premiere vs Resolve when it comes to just using the H265 files themselves (i.e. no ProRes transcode)?
  18. Have you tried that FFMPEG GUI that I linked to earlier? It works fine for me. I just change the ProRes preset to profile: 2. https://sourceforge.net/projects/ffmpeg-batch/
  19. Hi, I found a site hosting an older version of GoPro Studio that had the Cineform codec and tried one of the XT3 H265 files and it wouldn't load it. So, ProRes it is then.
  20. Hi guys, Ran across an issue today and didn't see mention of it in the manual. When I have my hdmi monitor connected and go to Playback, it plays back to the hdmi monitor but the LCD is blank. Is there an option to disable this? I have my monitor flipped around to the front since this camera doesn't have a fully articulating LCD.
  21. Is there a color interpretation problem only with ProRes or does this apply to the native XT3 H265 files?
  22. Has anyone transcoded to GoPro Cineform? It looks like it's a smaller intermediate with similar quality to ProRes. I can't find any docs to do it though since the GoPro Studio is discontinued.
  23. Hi KnightsFan, Appreciate the prompt response. I was able to transcode one file but batching them would be preferable. I found a FFMPEG GUI here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/ffmpeg-batch/ When I load it up, there are some presets and one of them is for ProRes MKV with these command line parameters: -c:v prores_ks -profile:v standard -vendor:v ap10 -pix_fmt yuv422p10le -c:a pcm_s16le -chunk_size 64K Is MKV doable for ProRes editing and rendering?
  24. Hi again guys, Thought I'd post here instead of the X-T3 thread .. If I wanted to use ffmpeg to transcode H265 to ProRes, is the command line example given in the first post the correct one I should use? I've never used ffmpeg before. Thanks!
  25. Ok, great, I'll take a look at transcoding and see if that will be a good solution. I assume that transcoding doesn't lose any quality vs the original H265 files? Sorry for the thread drift everyone!
