Looks like a cheaper RX100, which was overpriced to start with. Sony’s biggest mistake with this is that for a vlogging lens, it’s not wide enough. At arms length, it’s much too close. Having said that, it does have a 1” sensor and HLG so would look better after some work in the editor vs the iPhone

Thanks so much! I see a slight difference btw the 8-bit 60p and 10-bit 24p although I didn't see much difference between the H264 and H265. This does help me making a decision so I'm starting to lean towards that S1 now. I'd like to hear more about that firmware upgrade people are talking about now..

Where can I find some sample S1 footage with skin tones and some 60P to download and grade? I'd like to test some LUTs with them.

It’s pretty clear to me that many people watch product videos. Very few people watch short films and wedding videos.

What'd you like about it compared to your BM?

I'm asking the same question myself. They look to be in direct competition and now that the Blackmagic Pocket 6K is only $2K, I think the S1H is a harder sell.

I had to double check and my lenses were EF-S not EF. So, I gotta buy either way. Since we're talking lenses, would an EF/R lens with IS help along with the IBIS or doesn't matter since the camera has IBIS now?

Oh yeah, there's that. I guess I'll have to swear away some funds for an R lens then.

Thanks for the added info. I looked up the RX0 and it doesn't do 4K/60, although I do see that those Back Bone guys are doing a lens mod for it too.

Has anyone tried the Backbone mod so you can switch out the GoPro lens with a C mount lens?

Is the Panasonic G9 the smallest one with a zoom lens? I'm looking at possibly mounting this on a bike and want to record in 4K/60. Even though GoPro would be perfect, it's only got that extreme wide angle lens.

None of the Sony consumers cameras, right?
