First it was Nikon Z6 that was smashed to bits and now the Lumix S1H is basically destroyed by you people. Even the United States and prices came into play on this thread. The proof is in the footage and how it captures that data and WE ALL SHOULD KNOW THIS BY NOW. We all rent or have rented the RED or C200 and do this for a reason. Some of you do influence people on what cameras they should look at and what cameras produce the best video quality. Sadly it seems very hard to get honest information that come from years or hard work and experience. It's just a beat up the latest brand that's not Sony and let that band fall apart. Why? No one on here has used the S1H and all this talk about it being crap and failing is pathetic. Let's talk gear and about the craft we work in because that's why we joined this group. I haven't searched this forum for anyone or any behavior that wasn't present by your post and others that aggressively have hate and distain for America. The same kind of hate caries over the how you and they comment towards companies they want to fail. As far as my grandfather goes and his service to this country I would say that speaks for itself and other that have done the same and made sacrifices for this country. The S1H and this marketing push followed what Panasonic did with the S1 and S1R and even the EVA-1, so that in itself doesn't deserve the hate driven comments some people are making. Panasonic also uses the in-between period to finalize spec and listen to what the market wants. I don't blame Panasonic for wanting to be the first to announce a 6K hybrid camera and beat Sony at the same game everyone plays.

You're disappointed in what? The DP, defocusing or geee how the camera performed. I love when industry people can't form a complete sentence to back up "why' they don't like something or are disappointed. You seem disappointed in a lot of you post and this seems like a meds issue.

Does the S1 have Eye AF now?

I'm a fan of the Z6 as you know but the S1 also looks great except for AF. The Z6 has Nikon DSLR users with tons of Nikon glass. Both brands have gotten beat up on You Tube and the web from Sony fan boys and the media. Right now they are saying the S1 is not selling as well as the Z6 and is has as much bad press as the Z6. I think the market will even out by the end of 2019 - start of 2020. The Z6 and S1 will keep getting firmware updates and keep improving. Canon and Nikon have to release Pro series cameras by the end of the year and this can be done with the same foundation they already started. They have to counter wherever the A7SIII lands. Sony leas the mirrorless market right now but it's not just based on specs, quality and lens selection. Canon could be the wild card company right now based on reputation, users, glass and enough marketing clout to change peoples minds that Sony is not at the same level as Canon. Canon is the only company that could change this market for the better.

The great thing about the S1H and who it's target audience is that when real cinematographers get a hold of it they'll create great looking content. This only helps the S1H and it's marketing. I've been waiting for people to do this with the Z6 but that's not happening until 12bit Raw comes out.

You absolutely come off as the girl in your comments about "2 S1 bodies, 2 firmware upgrades, 1 24-105 f/4, 1 extra camera battery, 1 S1 battery grip. Retail total $7123. My total $5044!" or you come off as a braggart. I never mentioned the EOS R in a positive light ever. I also never said one negative thing about the S1 or S1H, ever. I'm all for progressing technology that helps everyone. I've never understood braggers that have to post about how much they spent on gear, good for you but no one cares about braggers. What's the crow I'm suppose to be eating? And again, how long have you worked for Panasonic ?

You're the wife that says "hey honey I saved 80%" today and the alpha male says "but how much did you spend"? The S1 might be ok but it's like any of the new cameras with everyone questioning the roadmap and how long the will be around. Lens selection, AF performance are a few thing that come into question. Plus with the S1H you have to ask why? The S1 is $2,497 on BH right now. If I go with Lumix and the S1 or S1H I want what's advertised and that is AF. No more GH5 AF garbage. Some people don't have a camcorder to trade in........how long have you worked for Panasonic Mr. Blue?

No one is afraid of the ghost A7SIII that doesn't exist. Panasonic wanted to get the specs out in some form and let people know what's coming. Other companies have done this its just we don't all have butt love for Sony like others do. The Lumix S1 is $2,497 just to be clear. You said $2,000 and that's not correct ( the firmware upgrade might be $2,000).......... No it's not all rainbow and lollypops on the EOS with false info. Carry on. We get better upgraded technology on the S1H and all you do is complain.....smh

The A7SIII will not be announced until Nov. with a Feb 2020 release date. Just my opinion because Sony needed to wait until everyone released their cameras in 2019. The S1Hot - has upped the game for everyone including Sony, Nikon and Fuji just on specs alone.

You can't say the EOS R is in the same quality bracket as the S1H. You posted 7th grader comments about the EOS R having quality and features that the S1H does not. Other cameras have a crop factor when upping the fps or bit rate. The EOS R has a crop just because it's the CANON EOS R and that kinda really sucks. Wouldn't ya say?

And you left out the X24734 crop the EOS R has and no IBIS. Who on earth is defending Canon and it's left behind features?

You seem obsessed with American politics so doing research will allow you to learn a little. You said you know all about America and it's economy and politics so you should already know about the 50's and 60's. You never answered what country you live in......

I'm 54 - How old are you? You need to go back and look up U.S. political propaganda from the 1950-'60's and see how close it resembles what we see today. That should enlighten you a little.
