    Lenses

Been browsing through this thread looking for info on zoom lenses. Does anyone know of some good manual zoom lenses? Looking for something in the $500-$1000 range. I just want something with a manual aperture.
  2. I am probably going to hold onto mine. Its really the full frame image, 422, plus IBIS that makes me hold on. The IBIS really is an amazing run and gun tool. Combined with the incredible dynamic range/high iso performance its hard to beat. I really hope they give it an update to have 24p in 1080 tho. I'd also love a 400mbps option in 4k.

    Fuji X-S10

Waiting on 422 and no record limits.
  4. Highlights aren’t clipped until 109 ire tho. “Overexposing” gives me super clean images. As long as they aren’t clipping
  5. @Sage Any plans on doing this for the Z-cams?
  6. Yeah 85% might make more sense in a controlled situation but if I am just shooting in natural light I like to expose the highlights as high as I can (again depending on the situation).
  7. I'd probably just go with one of the Cine profiles or picture profile off. As long as you expose/light correctly you'll have no issues. Nothing wrong with 8 bit cameras you just can't push them as far. If you have a good image to begin with you are fine. An A73 can look as good as an Alexa.
  8. Yeah I usually use the waveform. There is definitely info past 95 ire with zebras. I was shooting right into the sun while exposing for skin and it didn't clip at all. Really was surprised honestly.
  9. Yeah honestly if I was serious into stills I'd probably get the D750. Nothing really touches that sensor and DSLR AF is amazing.
  10. This S1 dynamic range is pretty incredible. I can overexpose and still bring a lot of information down. I wish the waveform would show when the sensor is actually clipping though.
  11. I personally don't need FF. The EVA1 sensor is nice but it needs the following. MFT mount 422 4k up to 120fps (Prores plus an H265 option) up to 8 stops internal ND Nice built in monitor (5 inch, 1000 knit, high res)
  12. Gimbals are great for steadicam shots. IBIS will never replace that IMHO. Gimbals have an mechanical feel that can sometimes ruin a shot. Nothing can replace the organic looks of a steadicam plus experienced operator.
  13. Pretty cool. Though no internal ND's, sucky Vlog L, old sensor (gh5s sensor?) I am very happy with my Z-cam S6, zcam color is so much better than Panasonic IMO. ZLOG > VLOG-L
  14. If it has high bitrate H264 10 bit 422 up to 4k 60p and HD 120P (Good quality 120) I am in.
  15. If its got 4k 60p 10 bit I'll be down. I am more onboard with Nikon colors and of course the usable auto focus.
  16. The S1H does 4k 60p internal like the S5. Both H265 10BIT 420 I believe.
