Hey guys, Just wanted to share a promo I just made for DKNY with the Sony a7S. This was made as a tribute to my beautiful wife, Kari, whom passed in August 2015 from Cystic Fibrosis - a chronic illness with no known cure. Every shot but the New York B-roll was with the a7S (recorded in 4K by the Atomos Ninja Flame), and graded with FilmConvert. I hope you enjoy the video. Please let me know what you think! Best wishes, Bradley

First online social media advert for J'adore Models Manchester, shot on the Sony A7SII in SLog3. Used the excellent Zeiss loxia primes, 50mm f2 and 35mm f2. Recorded full-frame 4K at 24fps, shutter lower than I would prefer due to room lighting restrictions but decided to roll with it instead of using LEDs to keep a cinematic look, pools of light and dark shadows etc. Looking to shoot more of these throughout the year and would love to know what peoples thoughts were... We are a boutique agency in Manchester. Our guys and girls have the freshest and coolest faces on the scene. We believe totally in presenting the next wave of unique, diverse and beautiful models to the industry and we’re about exceeding clients’ expectations, every time. jadoremodels.co.uk Filmed on the Sony A7SII Rig: Movcam A7SII cage Lenses: Zeiss Loxia 50mm f2 / Loxia 35mm f2 4K / 1920 x 1080 HD / 2.35 / 24fps Music: ASTR - Operate (Et Aliae remix)

Latest work shot on the Sony A7SII with Zeiss Loxia prime lenses. Online commercial for a british watch brand. The film will be used for website/blog use and also taking 15 second social media cuts for further advertising. Also used the excellent 3DR Solo drone for the opening wide and SLog3 profile for further flex in the grade. Hope you enjoy! We are inspired by traditional British styling & tailoring and modern ink culture to create a unique blend of convention and edge. This makes our collection truly distinctive. Our products are all beautifully presented and strikingly original. Our obsessive attention to detail and passion for what we do has created…Ma-Ga London. Latest in the Ascensions Series for Highsnobiety. Took huge risks with this film, to shoot in harsh winter conditions, heavy rain throughout with little shelter. Shot over three days, we hiked further than a marathon and climbed over 7,500ft, the most intense and demanding film in the series yet. The aerial and natural elements where shot on returned visits to concentrate on time with the model. A more in-depth piece will be released via Zeiss and Lenspire later today i believe. Hope you enjoy my hardest project to date and would love further feedback. Ascensions is a new short film series that focuses on some of the established, as well as up-and-coming names in modern streetwear culture. Each short is shot amid a vast natural landscape, with the intention of representing a brand’s rise toward the summit in their field. The fourth in the series features Black Rabbit БЯ. Black Rabbit which name originates from the cyrillic initials, “БЯ” is not constrained by seasons and built without the pricing compromises demanded by the fashion market. The series is exclusively released via Highsnobiety. highsnobiety.com blackrabbit.jp Filmed on the Sony A7SII Aerial Film - 3DR Solo Rig: Movcam A7SII cage Timelapse: Sony A7II Lenses: Zeiss Loxia 35mm f2 / 50mm f2 4K / 1920 x 1080 HD / 16:9 / 120fps / 24fps Music: Wife - Like Chrome Album - What's Between Label: Tri▽angle Motion Titles: Yoke Creative yokecreative.co.uk Still Images: Benjamin Moore @photographmoore

Latest work shot on the Sony A7SII in PP5 due to indoor light restrictions. Time-lapse work via the A7II, all with Zeiss E-Mount lenses. Loxia 50mm and 35mm, final time-lapse with the Zeiss Touit 12mm in aps-c crop. Cut and graded in FCPX. Love to know what people think? THFKDLF headed out to Bright Tradeshow, Berlin to showcase their upcoming collections and produce a capsule over the 3 day show. Here is what happened. Bright is an original platform which conveys a snapshot of modern lifestyle within an atmosphere relevant to its target group. Since culture is in constant motion, and the influences of its trends are always evolving, the element of its perception fluctuates between art, sport and music. Above all, authenticity is the leading component. thfkdlf.com / brighttradeshow.com / ae-sewingmachines.co.uk Filmed on the Sony A7SII Rig: Movcam A7SII cage Timelapse: Sony A7II Lenses: Zeiss Loxia 35mm f2 / 50mm f2 4K / 1920 x 1080 HD / 16:9 / 24fps Music: Ember Island - Can't feel my face Album - 3 Roses x Ember Island Cover Label: Non

HUF heads to the summit in our latest "Ascensions" film After kicking the Ascensions Series off with up-and-coming streetwear brand THFKDLF, we now turn our attention to established streetwear imprint HUF. Each video in the series is shot amid a vast natural landscape, with the intention of representing a brand’s rise toward the summit in their field. Since beginning as a small shop in San Francisco in 2002, HUF has turned into a strong name in the skateboarding and streetwear worlds. Donning the brands spring and classic garments, the model heads through an abandoned quarry and up to the UK’s largest drop waterfall, showing off both the clothing and landscape to full effect. We felt the best way to really learn how to use the GH4 was to shoot a commercial. All the GH4 shots were in 1080p VFR 60fps mode, Natural picture style, Panasonic 12-35 F2.8 lens, gen 1 Fader ND 77mm (+ adapter), and Flycam Nano DSLR steadicam. The pool shots were iPhone 5S 720p 120fps, and underwater shots with GoPro Hero 3 Black. Edited in Premiere Pro CC with heavy use of the new masking tools. Neat Video was used for denoising. Really pleased that WMG (Warner Music Group) and youtube worked out a deal to allow their music to be used (along with an ad). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hc2LXH_MsQQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hc2LXH_MsQQ Editing a fashion show shot on the A7S next (will show a wide variety of skintones in low light- shot event style with 'auto everything'- worked pretty well).

Our first shoot with the Sony A7S. Shot 1080p60 1/60th shutter with Picture Profile 7 (Slog2), with Color Mode changed to Cinema. Graded in Premiere Pro CC using color curves and saturation, the same setting applied to all clips. The goal was to see how well the A7S handled skintones under very challenging, changing lighting conditions: low light, multicolor spots, etc. NR was only used on the first clip (very very low light). Shot handheld using the Sony SEL18-200mm APS-C lens (FS700 kit lens), AUTO ISO, AWB, AF (center spot focus area), IS, manual zoom, built in mics. With this lens and settings, the A7S makes an excellent low-light live/event camera.

Model Kyllie music video shot with Canon 5DmkIII RAW and Panasonic GH3. This is my first foray into shooting a music video with slow motion in mind. I also wanted to shoot with Anamorphic lenses and use a Steadicam for movement. Learned a lot from this shoot, I hope to make the next one much better. https://vimeo.com/72950991

https://vimeo.com/72163697 I've been learning DaVinci Resolve to add to my video workflow. This is the first project that I graded with it. The footage was shot with the GH2 (Driftwood Cluster_v7), Voigtlander Nokton 25mm f/0.95 and Nikon Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 Series E. Program used: Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve There are many ways to do this. I figured out this workflow by reading the manual PDF and some tutorial videos. It works for me so far. 1. edit using MTS (from the GH2) in Premiere Pro (sequence01) 2. lock the edit 3. transcode used clips with 5DtoRGB to MOV (ProRes422(HQ), ITU-R BT.709, Full Range) for Resolve to grade (I tried to export XML from PP with MTS in timeline, then Resolve kept asking about missing video files. Looks like Resolve doesn't recognize MTS) 4. bring the transcoded MOV to PP and replace the edited MTS in timeline (sequence02). 5. export XML from PP 6. in Resolve, add the transcoded MOV to Media Pool 7. import the XML, uncheck "automatically add clips to media pool" 8. grade (time consuming) 9. export graded clips to ProRes422(HQ) MOV with unique names 10. go back to PP, import the graded MOV and replace the clips in the previous timeline (sequence03) 11. Retouch skin in some clips with AE, using the graded MOV 12. create motion titles 13. in PP, add extra adjustment and add titles made in AE. 14. I actually go back and forth between PP, AE and Resolve a few times to adjust the skin tone for consistency. But the way I set up files let PP and AE relink the clips automatically, which is nice. 15. fine-tune music 16. export the final movie in PP It's really time consuming, but it worked for me. Again, this is my first attempt to incorporate DaVinci Resolve to my workflow. If there are only a few clips, I can grade first and edit. But a shoot like this has like 50+ clips, I have to edit first to know which ones to grade, therefore a workflow like this. I wanted to share my steps and to see if there's any suggestions to improve the process. P.S. The famous stair-step gradient in GH2 is something I have no idea how to fix. Thanks for reading.

I've always known the GH3 packed a great punch in its IQ since I saw how much the latitude in the shadows improved over the GH2. It was my first sign that this little beast mixed with the right glass could produce amazing images and finally, having the time to create something for the art of filmmaking, decided to dive into the world of anamorphic and create something that I hope you all enjoy! https://vimeo.com/71554911 All the technical details are in an article linked on the Vimeo page. Used the Isco Ultra Star 2x anamorphic lens

This is my first foray. Fashion Film is great fun & seems to be an emerging genre, it definitely comes with it's own set of challenges & pitfalls though. Any feedback or questions welcome... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7AnN8OyF5R0
