Using EF lenses on RF mount + drop in ND adaptor (so not looking at the awesome and expensive RF 24-70). Replacing ageing Tamron 24-70 VC for something with smoother AF - the focussing can be jumpy and jarring. Looking for decent in-lens stabilisation. Was originally thinking the Tamron G2 but the stabilisation looks sticky for panning. Thoughts / experiences? Anyone using the Sigma 24-70 Art on Canon and can comment on the stabilisation -is it sticky, is it jerky? Mixed reports on internet, some say it’s not effective at all, some say it’s better than the Tamron. Limited footage out there - what I’ve seen looks ok... Will probably rent both the Sigma and Tamron to test, but would be grateful for long term opinions going into this upgrade. Will likely be my workhorse lens for years to come. Cheers. Paul

A great video camera on a budget in my opinion It is my first short film, and it was all shot and edited in one day, I didnt have more time. Lenses I used were the Tamron 17-50mm 2.8, Helios 44-2 and a cctv 35mm 1.7 Hope you Guys enjoy it ! Again, I have not been able to see any problems when using this lens. Probably my favorite lens of the bunch. For the years I owned it, it has been safely stored when not in use. Condition: Very well built, overall very good condition for age. Some very minor cosmetic imperfections on the barrel from normal use. Optics look great as far as I can tell. For the years I owned it, it has been safely stored when not in use. One thing to note; I have only used AF with this on the Minolta 5D and occasionally it would hunt excessively for focus. I believe this is a common trait (not fault) of these zooms, and may have been more noticeable on my lower end camera, than on other cameras as well. It has seen some use and cosmetically only in ok to good shape, but works well. It was pretty much the last dslr that Konica Minolta made, so while it has IBIS (which is a neat feature), there is no live-view or video-recording. Still if you have someone in the family who wants to start taking pictures, or as a second/third camera, it's definitely nice. Also comes with a Extreme III 2GB compactflash, extra battery, neck band and lens cap. As, mentioned, free if you buy 2 or 3 lenses! Here's my first run-and-gun video event with the Sony A7S. Overall, very happy with the capabilities of this camera. In shoots following this one, I've noticed a significant improvement in video quality when using 30p vs. 60p. Note that footage in this piece was filmed at 1080/60p and super-slomo was filmed at 720/120p. Final file was edited in a 1080/30p timeline and exported as a 720/30p. No, I will not make the master available for download so you can pixel peep at it. ;) Lenses include the Tamron SP f/2.8 70-200 in A-Mount (with the LEA4) and Sony Zeiss FE f/4 24-70 (stabilization off). Sound courtesy of a Rode Videomic. Since filming this I added a Tamron SP f/2.8 24-70 to my kit so both lenses will focus the same direction (you can probably tell I missed a few because of this.) I did quite a lot of this video with the 70-200 handheld on a small Jag35 rig. One major annoyance is that the record button is too easy to inadvertently hit while filming. I missed a couple shots because of this. It should be placed where the C2 custom button is located (like on the A77) or I should be able to remap record to the photo trigger (duh.)
