1. Years ago, Tahnee was in a wheelchair and doctors told her she would never be able to dance again. Now she is one of the world's most talented dancers and choreographers. https://vimeo.com/394412259
2. In the process of updating some equipment. Had this for about a year and though I love it, my work is moving in a direction where it's not as practical. I have some basic accessories, and the voigtlander 17.5mm. There is some cosmetic wear, but overall everything is in solid condition and works perfectly. This cam has been a great little work horse. http://www.ebay.com/itm/171860800251?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 http://www.ebay.com/itm/171859860073?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 Voigtlander listing is ending very soon!
3. Hiya Guys! I'm new to this forum and will try to be as clear as possible. :) I'm about to buy new gear for videography pretty soon and have already chosen to go for the GH4, that i will use with these lenses : Voigtlander Nokton MF 35mm f/1.4 (77mm with crop factor), Nikkor 35mm DX (56mm with speedbooster), Nikkor 50mm FX (80mm with sb) and a Nikkor 18-55mm DX (28,8-88mm with sb). I applied a 2,2 crop factor for Voigtlander lenses and 1,6 for the Nikon ones (DX and FX). Is this correct? I keep seeing different crop factors all over the internet. The main use will be documentary and travel videography, so I'm trying to get good and sharp gear easy to travel with as I'll be shooting alone or with only one person. I've read several threads on the eoshd forum, reviews... and still have a few questions concerning ND filters. It seems like I should get a variable ND filter with a 77 or 82mm diameter. The max budget for the filters (one VND or filter system) would be 300/400 US dollars tops. - would you recommend a VND filter rather than a filter-system + ND filters for my use? - my Nokton diameter is 43mm, do you know if a step up ring 43-82 mm or 43-77mm exists? I couldn't find one over the internet. - if you faced this problem, did you find a solution? - would I get vignetting on corners with wide lenses even with the crop factor? - Reviews seem to highlight the Heliopan and Tiffen VND, are there massive pros for one rather than the other? I'm sorry for this long post! One question always seems to lead to another one... Thank you very much to those who will read and answer me :) And a huge thank you to all other posts and people in the forum for the previous topics that helped me. Woooo!
4. Hello! I recently picked up a GH3 and am wondering what lens setup to purchase. I have done some research and am thinking about these two options. 1. Metabones Speedbooster with a Sigma 30mm 1.4 II (Nikon Mount) as I had the old Sigma 30mm 1.4 on my 550D and loved it! 2. Voigtlander 25mm f0.95 and the SLR Magic 12mm f1.6. Would love to know what you guys think! Thanks :)

8. Hi i just bought the panasonic gh2 and I'm about to buy a voigtlander nokton lens.. just wondering which would be better - voigtlander nokton 25mm or voigtlander nokton 17.5mm? i would be using it primarily for video.. i understand the 17.5mm has clickless aperture ring but it's easier to focus in 25mm? any advice welcome!

11. https://vimeo.com/72163697   I've been learning DaVinci Resolve to add to my video workflow. This is the first project that I graded with it. The footage was shot with the GH2 (Driftwood Cluster_v7), Voigtlander Nokton 25mm f/0.95 and Nikon Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 Series E.   Program used: Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve   There are many ways to do this. I figured out this workflow by reading the manual PDF and some tutorial videos. It works for me so far.   1. edit using MTS (from the GH2) in Premiere Pro (sequence01)  2. lock the edit 3. transcode used clips with 5DtoRGB to MOV (ProRes422(HQ), ITU-R BT.709, Full Range) for Resolve to grade (I tried to export XML from PP with MTS in timeline, then Resolve kept asking about missing video files. Looks like Resolve doesn't recognize MTS) 4. bring the transcoded MOV to PP and replace the edited MTS in timeline (sequence02). 5. export XML from PP 6. in Resolve, add the transcoded MOV to Media Pool 7. import the XML, uncheck "automatically add clips to media pool" 8. grade (time consuming) 9. export graded clips to ProRes422(HQ) MOV with unique names 10. go back to PP, import the graded MOV and replace the clips in the previous timeline (sequence03) 11. Retouch skin in some clips with AE, using the graded MOV 12. create motion titles 13. in PP, add extra adjustment and add titles made in AE.  14. I actually go back and forth between PP, AE and Resolve a few times to adjust the skin tone for consistency. But the way I set up files let PP and AE relink the clips automatically, which is nice.  15. fine-tune music 16. export the final movie in PP   It's really time consuming, but it worked for me. Again, this is my first attempt to incorporate DaVinci Resolve to my workflow. If there are only a few clips, I can grade first and edit. But a shoot like this has like 50+ clips, I have to edit first to know which ones to grade, therefore a workflow like this.   I wanted to share my steps and to see if there's any suggestions to improve the process.   P.S. The famous stair-step gradient in GH2 is something I have no idea how to fix.   Thanks for reading.
12. ###SOLD### to a member of EOSHD community ;)         UPDATE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   I'm about to put again for sale my baby Berthiot Hypergonar on Ebay tomorrow, but before I'm proposing it here, so you can have at this price, without bid on it :   700€ for the baby Berthiot Hypergonard, the one I'm using for all the movies you can see below   1100€ for the all anamorphic set I'm talking about below   Please PM, don't mis this opportunity !!!!!!!   Tomorrow it will be too late !   Shipping cost with insurance : 20€   Seb Farges         For sale anamorphic set baby Berthiot Hypergonar 1.75X + Voigtlander Classic 40mm f1.4   http://cgi.ebay.fr/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110998900533#ht_1370wt_1341   This is a huge opportunity to have the legendary baby Hypergonar, a very rare tiny anamorphic lens, only 52 grams (!!!), who gives beautiful cinemascope images with the Voigtlander. You are ready to shoot in stunning cinemascope image on your micro 4/3 camera !!!!   The set is composed of :   1- baby  Berthiot Hypergonar 1.75X anamorphic lens 2- Voigtlander Classic 40mm F1.4 pancake lens in M mount   3- M mount to Micro 4/3 adapter 4- F clamp 52mm thread + 2 spacers with 52mm thread + replacing additional spacer for using the Hypergonar on other lens than the Voigtlander, with 52mm thread 5- step up ring 43mm-52mm (to go from Voigtlander to the clamp) 6- 39mm neutral filter (screwed on a 39mm filter without glass scotch taped on the Hypergonar)   7- step up ring 39mm-52mm 8- L.C.W ND variable filter 52mm 9- Diopter 52mm filter Nikon +0.7   As you can see in this set, you are ready to shoot, the variable ND filter allowed you to shoot at 1/50 in video, with the diopter you can focus around 70 cm (2,3 feet) and without, it depends of the aperture you will choose, but let say between 1 meter (3.2 feet) and 3 meters (9.8 feet) to infinity. There is also an additional spacer (that replace the two two other spacers) then you can use the anamorphic on other lens with 52mm thread. The Hypergonar works from (some of) 35mm lenses, then up, without vignetting. No vignetting with the Voigtlander 40mm, very slight vignetting at closed aperture (f11, f16).   All my films are in this album : https://vimeo.com/album/1834786   examples in the album below :   on the Voigtlander 40mm f1.4: https://vimeo.com/42652326 https://vimeo.com/43152755   on the Fujian : https://vimeo.com/31015180 https://vimeo.com/29881958   on the SLR Cine 0.95 : https://vimeo.com/41526220   on the Canon FD : https://vimeo.com/39510554   and here is two exclusive movies :    password : lac https://vimeo.com/50931963   password : 501 https://vimeo.com/49723682   The Voigtlander is a very good 40mm pancake lens, it's like new. With the 43mm-52mm step up ring included, you can use it alone with 52mm filters.   The Hypergonar begin to be sharp from f2.8, very good at f4 and perfect at f5.6. With the diopter you can shoot at f1.4 with sharp result. It's in good condition due to its age. Very tiny dust, no haze. I'm filming with the baby Hypergonar for month now, and I can tell you this is such a good lens. You can watch all the test I've done with it in the link bellow. As you can see I've tried it on several lenses (Fujian 35mm f1.6, Canon FD 50mm f1.8, Holga Lomo f8, SLR Magic Cine lens 50mm f0.95 and Voigtlander 40mm f1.4) and the combination with the Voigtlander is the ultimate set for me. 1.75X squeeze is also perfect, wider than the common 1.5X, and not to much wider than the 2X anamorphic lens. I apply 57,14% scale in Adobe Premiere.   The baby Hypergonar gives very beautiful anamorphic flares and stretched bokeh.   A useful comment from Alan about this Berthiot 1.75X anamorphic lens : "you have the smallest hypergonar lens ever made and one of the last designs of the great french man. Professor Henri Chrétien signed over the rights to his fantastical optical invention Hypergonar to Twentieth Century-Fox in 1952,he was legally bound not to develop commercial scope lens or work with any other studios. or sell the optics commercially. This beauty was the only tiny amateur cinemascope lens he could legally make and could only be sold in france and her colonies  it was made for amateur standard 8mm film cameras. his friends at the Société technique d'Optique et de Photographie (s.t.o.p). At first said it was impossible to scale a cinemascope lens down to this size, and make a usable system. Chrétien went too work and made this tiny gem a beauty. A work of genius. In the late 70s early 80s a supply of spare lens where found and and added too fuji single 8 plastic pocket size film cameras many of these lens would have been thrown in the dustbin in the late 1980s with the standard 8 and single 8 cameras, with the rise rise of video : ( so are now quite rare. i am glad the lens has gone home too france : )" "Me too ! :)"   You won't regret that perfect anamorphic lens for your micro 4/3 camera (Panasonic GH1, GH2, GH3, Olympus….). It worth any penny !!!!
13. Hi all, Wanted to show you guys my latest music video made for the dutch funkgroup Juicy Jones. Shot it on the last sunny day of the summer at a great location just outside of Utrecht. Great fun doing the shoot! I brought along a lot of gear but ultimately opted for simply filming handheld. Opened up my voigtlander between F0.95 and F4 most of the time (using an ND fader) and deliberately tried to overexpose and let the sun flare to get that dreamy summersday vibe. Pretty happy with the result! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTqP_enLUl8 and check out a fun little prologue we made as a lead-in to the release (subtitled). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FmKoVy1_C7A cheers!
14. Take a look at my last work to date. Lot of work on this one ! I shot 720p50 with shutter 1/100 with voigtlander 25mm and olympus 12mm. Thanks for watching.
15. Hello everyone, I'm relatively new here considering my post count, but I've been reading these forums for quite a long time now and I'm at the brink of buying a Panasonic GH2. So first of all, which kit to buy? I think I will use this camera mainly for run and gun docu/event shoots (low-light?!), but I like to do some pseudo-artistic hobby shoots from time to time as well. I thought of these options; 1. GH2 with 14-140mm kit and a Voigtländer 25mm. 2. GH2 body (or with the 14-42mm, as there's not much of a difference in price) with a Rokinon/Samyang 24mm and 35mm cine lens. Or should I wait for a longer focal length cine lens as 24 and 35mm do not make such a huge difference for a starter kit, right? Both kits end up being somewhat in the same price range, but I'm a little bit concerned with investing a lot of money in a M43 lens collection, that's why I added option 2. I also like the Cine-versions of the Rokinon lenses, as they've got click-less aperture and follow-focus gears (I already have a Gini rig with Follow Focus). With the Voigtländer being a F0.95 lens and the Rokinon a T1.4, is it a night and day difference in lowlight? (If you'll pardon the pun and ignore the lowlight performance of the GH2 in general). Second question, filters. Should I buy a 77mm variable ND (with step-up rings of course) or should I invest in a mattebox with 4x4 filters. Which of these two options will bring me longterm value for money and convenience? What are their pros and cons? Well, thanks for reading. Jon
16. Hi dudes, I've been a long time reader here and this is my first proper comment. Recently me and my colleague set up a production company for narrative projects and our first project was a music video. We tried to offer a band we know (signed to an independent label) something different, with a plotline of a cagefighter to cut back to back to them playing in an abandoned industrial location we've rented for the day. We asked for a decent budget of £800, which in the end left about £100 for me and £100 for my producer/ 1st AD. It was just us two on the crew. They think we've ripped them off. They're not being grumpy, just generally dissatisfied with the end result. So I was wondering if I could get some feedback from the GH2 community and see if you guys think we've charged too much for this: https://vimeo.com/48942536 Video details/ camera settings in the vimeo description Lucas
