Hi there, I am primarily a stills photographer and so am very comfortable with the Lightroom sliders for changing the hue, saturation and luminance of individual colours (ie. this). I also quite like the Clarity slider. When it comes to video grading in Premiere Pro / After Effects, I am ok with the control I have over highlights, shadows, etc. However I can't find any effect with similar colour controls to Lightroom. Most of it is either sweeping changes to the whole image or individual channels (R/G/B). Can anyone point me to what I'm looking for? :)

A short promo about studying in Rome. Shot in May 2013 on the Canon 5d mark 3 RAW when RAW had just been released.

Lenses primarily used: Canon 35mm IS and Canon 70-200 f2.8 mk2. I only had 2 Lexar 1000x, now I use these and 4x Komputerbay cards. Edited on Premiere, ran through Adobe Camera Raw in After Effects first to get better debayer and graded on Davinci Resolve. I hope you like it, let me know your thoughts! >

This is mine and my teammate's Extreme Martial Arts Demo Reel that I recently shot and edited together, featuring various styles of martial arts, weaponry work, tricking and fight choreography. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I thought I'd still go ahead and share it on the forum :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MXDsV0YAO08 (Shot on a Canon 600D with 18-55mm Kit Lens and 50mm f/1.8, and edited using Adobe Premiere Pro & After Effects).

Hello everyone, This is one way to learn to deal with Anamorphic footage in post. Here is a detailed tutorial on working with anamorphic footage in post, from dealing with lens distortion and squeeze factor, moving data between applications and rendering with the proper pixel aspect ratios. I will be updating this tutorial with more info as I move through the process and adding more applications as well. Currently I cover Nuke, After Effects, Video Copilot and Maya. The next one will most likely be Houdini but if you have any suggestions, something is missing or if there is a better way to do something please let me know. I really wanted a place to consolidate all of this info and make it available to anyone who needs it, so let me know if you found this useful. Thanks Rob B http://www.robbannister.com/working-with-anamorphic-footage-in-post/

Does anyone know if it's possible to create a good "recipe" for converting BMCC raw video to something similar to what the BMCC camera would create when it outputs Film Log ProRes - preferably using Adobe Camera Raw and After Effects? (I'll be using Resolve at some point, but I'm waiting for the new MacPro's to upgrade, and my 2012 Pre-Retina MacBook Pro can't handle Resolve). To be more clear: I'd like to shoot RAW, but immediately batch convert to something that closely resembles what I would get if I had shot ProRes422 Film Log. Is there such a recipe? Or does the BMCC apply something more like a changeable algorithm to create it's ProRes Log? So... what kind of curve, saturation, highlight control, shadow control, sharpening, noise reduction, etc... would you be best to use if you were willing to do a batch convert and then grade the ProRes afterward? There may not be a "one-click" solution but my current workflow is brutally slow. Thanks for any help anyone can be, -Aaron

Hey there! After hard work, we’ve finally wrapped the production of our new short “RED WALKERâ€. And, of course, we’re crazy excited to hear some feedback from you guys :) The film is about 4 min long, featuring a Canadian actress, one from Norway, and another Norwegian with an acting background from New York. We shot it on Canon 7D with an Anamorphic adapter to get that cinematic analog vibe. If there’s any questions concerning the technical/visual aspect of the film, fire away! Here’s the short: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wK2BuwH-4_M I managed to get my hands on an ISCO-OPTIC Cinemascope Ultra Star Lens (one of the smaller versions), an anamorphic projection lens that i have to say; Its really sharp! And taking in consideration this is the first time we've operated an anamorphic projection lens on a filmset, i'm quite happy with the result! The ana-lens was mounted on a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8, a lens i can't say i'm proud to own. What do you think? Shot on the Canon 7D, settings all set to flat, then graded in After Effects and cut in Premiere Pro. We've made a couple of films before, including a sci-fi feature, so have a look if this was interesting: www.youtube.com/JARANDandJENS We also have a facebook, if you’d like to get in touch or stay up to date with content: www.facebook.com/JARANDandJENS Enjoy, and give us a little heads-up in the comments-section about what you think! We’re constantly looking for improvement, so a little input from you guys only makes good better :) Looking forward to hear from you, Jens Peder Hertzberg Jarand Breian Herdal -JARANDandJENS

Hey all, We recently finished this music video and wanted to share with you. Shot mostly on the FS100 with a few pickup shots on the NEX-5n. One of the biggest challenges and disappointments was how the camera performed in the club scene. The internal codec falls apart whenever there is a flash of bright color (or rapidly changing color) as there is likely not enough bandwidth to represent the varying information using the inter-frame compression. Surprisingly, there is very little info on this (we've researched before shooting). An outboard recorder would have been really beneficial in this case. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the video: http://vimeo.com/66481687 Cheers! Alex
