Part of an interesting article on film viewing habits, it relates to a recent piece on money destroying the movies: "He also hinted that he may never make another film, and Lynch blames the profit obsessed movie industry and the death of avant-garde cinema for his ''depressing'' lack of a future movie career." http://entertainment.stv.tv/showbiz/325148-david-lynch-slams-modern-film-viewing-habits/ He said: ''With alternative cinema - any sort of cinema that isn't mainstream - you're fresh out of luck in terms of getting theatre space and having people come to see it. ''Even if I had a big idea, the world is different now. Unfortunately, my ideas are not what you'd call commercial, and money really drives the boat these days.'' David, who is married to actress Emily Stofle, added: ''So I don't know what my future is. I don't have a clue what I'm going to be able to do in the world of cinema. ''And television is way more interesting than cinema now. It seems like the art-house has gone to cable.''

I figured a story about a guy that feeds his wife to the homeless was the perfect vehicle for this rubber-faced lunatic whose parents never let him pursue acting. At the same time, I another short I wrote, Smash the Kitty, was showing up on the festival circuit. The comedy horror feature I wrote was being optioned by a production company who was looking at a string of bad directors and reality stars for the project. Luckily, we were able to pull the script free> It was then my partner, Ben Padua, and I started Hedley Productions. Late Lunch is our first project with Hedley.[/background] [background=rgb(218, 218, 218)]We shot Late Lunch on a shoestring budget, bolstered by a string of good luck and big favors. We had an amazingly creepy old house, a hilarious cast who knew how to play off each other, and a brilliant crew who worked for hours on end.[/background] [background=rgb(218, 218, 218)]Now the film is finished shooting and in post-production, readying for the festival circuit so it can get the attention we think it deserves and springboard our other projects—all waiting in the wings.[/background] [b]Our immediate goal?
