GH1 and X2 anamorphic adapters

Hi everybody,
Is it possible to use Andrew's " 2.66 anamorphic " patch in a GH1 and get the same results as the GH2 with that specific patch? If not would you recommend a high quality anamorphic patch for GH1 ?

I need to dedicate two cameras to anamorphic for our next project and we have too many GH1s siting on the shelves enjoying early retirement while GH2s are working overtime.
