Administrators Andrew Reid Posted September 30, 2012 Administrators Share Posted September 30, 2012 One of the highlights of Photokina 2012 was meeting up with SLR Magic, the small but nimble optics company based in Hong Kong. They brought out one of the first proper fast wide lenses for Micro Four Thirds (the 12mm F1.6) by listening to demand and acting swiftly. Now they are building high end super-fast primes which are optimised for filmmakers as well as photographers.

Rinaldo
Hope these lenses have their focus ring turning to the 'right side', unlike the 12/1.6. This made me choose Oly 12/2 over slr magic's 12mm.

Chrad
Is the currently sold 12mm on SLR Magic's site the one that focuses in the 'correct' (non-Nikon) way?
Ernesto Mantaras
Is the currently sold 12mm on SLR Magic's site the one that focuses in the 'correct' (non-Nikon) way?
I second that. Here you can find it being sold at Amazon ("CINE") and I was wondering if this one's indeed that same one, with the "correct" turning of the focus. It also reads T1.6 rather than F1.6.
