The 2nd Alpha release of Magic Lantern for the 5D Mark III brings a very useful feature for anamorphic shooters such as I, a real-time anamorphic aspect ratio preview in live view. This is extremely useful for shooting bare bones with an anamorphic lens, or for those with no monitor / EVF that supports anamorphic de-squeeze.

HDR looks really good and the complete lack of aliasing really helps this footage look like film.

it says: "Screen layouts, especially for HDMI (16:10, 16:9 etc)"
Does that mean HDMI without black bars?
That would be amazing for monitoring (and possible recording for those that need it).

the latitude is definitively very nice but the banding is way too visible for me. Very cool work by the magic lantern team though congrats.

real-time anamorphic aspect ratio preview is awesome.
