Zach
Hey folks! Stumbled across this lens the other day at a flea market, picked it up for $5! Problem is I have no clue what it is. I'm not even sure what brand it is. Any ideas? What kind of mount it is as well? Will it work on a Canon crop or full frame? If it ain't worth 5 bucks, at least its a nice decoration :)
Matt
[sub]The brand is Cosina[/sub][sub] [/sub][sub]Here is some info from Wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cosina[/sub]
galenb
I think MC is Minolta mount. MD and MC are standards for Minolta if I remember right. Obviously this is a Cosnia 75-300mm. I imagine it's fine especially since it looks like it supports Macro focus. It should work on full frame cameras since it was originally made for 35mm film cameras. Obviously, this means it will work fine on Canon APS-C cameras too. You should be able to get a Minolta MD to Canon adaptor for pretty cheap on Amazon or Ebay. Zach
2nd question, is it worth anything? Should i buy a cheapo OM adapter and mess with it or should I just sell it on ebay?

I'm not sure that would end up too well with the "push-pull" design. I'd probably extended it so I could fill that sucker up, then zoom out and spew coffee everywhere
Zach
Just ordered the adapter, as if I need to spend any more money right now. Will do some test shots when I get it in Friday!

It's funny how misleading the box to this damn thing is. I thought my wife had went above and beyond on Christmas a couple years ago. I saw "L" and thought, "yes sir!" ...Only to fake a smile 10 seconds later. Zach
