NX1user
I need to get an 85mm for my Samsung NX1. I had planned on getting the Rokinon 85mm, but then came across this Opteka 85mm:http://www.amazon.com/Opteka-Aspherical-Telephoto-Digital-Cameras/dp/B00BUSXXP0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1444940745&sr=8-1&keywords=opteka+85mm People seem to love it. Anybody here used the Opteka for video? I looked for any reviews/comparisons between the Opteka and Rokinon but couldn't find any.
racer5
Here is a shot taken with the Rokinon on the NX1: https://flic.kr/p/tmmxuvI like the lens, a little soft wide open though. Never tried the Opteka.
BrorSvensson
i had the opteka, its not a very sharp lens at all. I would recommend the nikkor 85mm f2.0 ai, its a very nice and sharp lens for not so much money. IronFilm and NX1user
AaronChicago
Rokinon 85 is not just amazing for the price, but in general. Zach Goodwin, Calum MacPhail, NX1user and 1 other
Calum MacPhail
I'd recommend the Rokinon / Samyang too, the cine versions are excellent for video for the price. I've just got an EF lens adapter for my NX and I am using EF Samyangs on it. Might be worth getting the EF version instead of the NX, will hold its value better I reckon and more adaptable to other systems, NX1user
NX1user
Thanks everyone! I was getting the Rokinon/Samyang, but wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something great with the Opteka.
silvertonesx24
Make sure you are OK with the +3ft min focus distance with the Rokinon. I personally found it to be cumbersome.
Marco Tecno
I actually prefer the own samsung's 85mm to the (good) samyang. I have both and samyang gets never used...

Marco Tecno
No, the 85 and the 60 are mechanically coupled for af.
