Marco Tecno
I have a powerful PC (i7-5820K clocked at 4.4ghz, 16GB of memory at 2666Mhz). I used to have ZERO problems playing H.265 files till...I changed my GPU! I stepped from an old AMD 6970 to the new AMD Fury. This should hw decode H.265. Since then, my files play very bad, "choppily". I'm using: MPC-HC 64 and VLC. Same problem with both!Any hint??? How do I disable hw decoding and come back to CPU only decoding? For MPC-HC, View -> Options -> Internal Filters -> Video Decoder (button near bottom of window) -> Disable 'HEVC' in the 'Hardware Acceleration' section maybe ?(HEVC = H.265)
Jesse Anthony
I also had issues playing back h.265 files with VLC, and recently tried out the divx hevc codec update for their player and it plays back Nx1 4k files fine.
sandro
I don't have a CPU that powerful but I was able to get smooth playback of 4K HEVC 80Mbit files at 30p using latest MPC-HC x64 + LAV filter x64.I'm using a i5-3570k at 4Ghz.
