Phil A
Unfortunately not for Windows users, heartbreaking. Curious what is the reason. Geoff CB
gsenroc
Sure the coming updates will include the codec in windows, maybe they just can't finish it before christmas. One thing I'm a bit worried is the performance with H.265 decoding. I transcode to ProResHQ to avoid CPU/GPU overload (intel 4790k with GTX 960) during editing and so far it works perfectly, but I don't know whether it will still be so smooth if I use H.265 directly without transcoding. iamoui
I read somewhere else that the HEVC H.265 update is only for the paid version of Resolve (Studio only on OS X), not the free version?
Phil A
I read somewhere else that the HEVC H.265 update is only for the paid version of Resolve (Studio only on OS X), not the free version?According to the release notes that is correct so far. jcs
Decode support for HEVC/H.265 QuickTime video in DaVinci Resolve Studio on OS XH.265 is possibly enabled through QuickTime on OSX native, thus a reason why it's OSX only.
