Need GH3 help

I keep hearing and seeing videos about the amazing autofocus system on the GH3. I am having problems getting it to work on mine the way I've seen it done on some of the videos. I've seen and heard about face detection where you can select a small box that will follow someone's face around the picture and keep them in focus. I have had the camera for almost 2 days and cannot figure out how to do this. Can someone shed some light on the subject? I would really appreciate it thank you.
