animan
Also new silent AF lenses might indicate a shift to some better APSC bodies coming for video?http://nikonrumors.com/2016/01/04/nikon-annoucnes-two-new-af-p-dx-nikkor-18-55mm-f3-5-5-6g-lenses.aspx/

Danyyyel
I bet its just 1080p 60FPSThe socionext( fujitsu) processor that Nikon normally uses in its expeed processor is said to do 4k 60 fps, h.265 and even 10 bit. I hope they implement all of it. Nikon problem is that they don't cater for the geek who live and die by the spec sheet. For example why do they call low contrast mode Flat ???? call it log and everybody will boast about it. While Sony's LOG are barely usable if you don't have a phd, Nikon flat!!!! is at least 12 stop and some say 13 stops in the D750 and so easy to grade. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1QnyKZSUcL8 Zach Ashcraft

Nikkor
That XQD screams for compressed raw but it's not going to happen They should make a D5m, without mirror but with raw, electronic viewfinder,etc...

roxics
Yes but the D5 is limited to 3 minute recording time in UHD mode and cropped to APS-C. Why I don't know. The D500 is the better choice for vieo of the two, it has a tilting screen and can do 30 minutes in UHD mode but also crops 1.5x giving you basically a m43 sized video sensor for UHD. richg101
I just wish they'd have included in the specs:- 'new short flange distance lens mount + smart adaptor for existing F mount lenses'.'focus direction changed to the right way'
Zach Ashcraft
Heres a short shot on the D5 - all in 4K supposedly. Hard to get an idea of how much its been compressed for vimeo. No file download available either
