tugela
The sensor can do a full read at 240 fps. This has been known for quite a long time, but apparently that mode was only used for debugging purposes. I would guess that shooting becomes unstable at those frame rates, or the processor quickly overheats, so it was not used for operational modes. IronFilm
This is why I hope they release a "cinema series" version of the NX1 with a slightly larger body which can handle 240fps and 6.5K
Marco Tecno
I still think that mode could be enabled via fw hack. We just need a 'geek' user with advanced knowledge in sw coding and debugging...
undecided
To me it looks like a pipeline. Sensor Readout -> Processor -> FileSystemEach stage has its own framerate settings. I don't know how this pipeline will respond to changes to each stage. The question is can the processor keep up with faster sensor framerates. My goal would be to lessen rolling shutter. Marco Tecno
rolling shutter at 1080 is a non issue with nx1. having higher fps will allow you to achieve 10x true slowmotion at 24fps which would be outstanding for a camera at this pricepoint. Marco Tecno
at 4k sure you can't do 120 or 240fps. perhaps 60 with a fw hack...
sandro
I would be happy with better low light performance (maybe less NR?) instead of 240p but that's just me
Marco Tecno
I'd also like less (or even better: no) nr in video at any iso. Beritar
