JazzBox
Dear all, I normally use LUT Utility and some LUT I bought from Daniel John Peters among other free.I tried the FilmConvert trial and I like very much the "grain" effect, that seems to remove some digital look from my footage. After applying S16 or S35 grain my videos looks more "organic", more filmic. I love also the possibility to adjust the WB on the go.I'm quite happy about the LUT I have and I'm wondering if there is any plugin that could do the FilmConvert work (especially the grain) for a cheaper price.Thank you very much!p.s.: some LUTs I have also shows some banding effect when I push them, while on FilmConvert no LUTs gave me that problem, it seems very good! MBFrancis
So say in FPCX, I just stack it over the video I want to put grain on in the timeline, and overlay in blend mode? Seems cool, but how would I make the duration of the grain video longer to cover a longer clip? It's 5 seconds or in Beny's version, 10 seconds short (Thanks for that btw!). Is it just copying a desired amount of the grain video and making a compound clip or am I missing something here?
M Carter
In after effects, I would just loop something like that - don't know if FCPX has that feature though?

Xavier Plagaro Mussard
Is it possible to use 24p grain in a 25p project with credible results?Yes, you just have to "conform", so every 24p frame will end in a 25p (and play a little faster) JazzBox
