Hi,

could you give me a advice wich graphic card i should choose? Im working with Premiere CC and do a lot of grading with the Lumetri tool. My computer has the following setup:

Intel Core i7-2600K Box, LGA1155
16GB-Kit Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 MHz CL9
ASUS P8Z77-V LX, Sockel 1155, ATX, DDR3
be quiet! STRAIGHT POWER BQT E9-500W 80+Gold
BitFenix Shinobi Midi-Tower
2 x Seagate Barracuda 7200 2000GB, SATA 6Gb/s

I read that Adobe now supports openCL in the same way theyre doing with Cuda cores. Is that true? So should i go for the r9 390 with 8gb vor the gtx970 with its 4gb? Im working with h265 files from the Samsung NX1.

Thanks, best regards

Matthias

GTX 960 4gb version, it has a H265 decoder built into the card.

Yes the gtx970 has it also.

Do you know what graphics card power connectors your computer has? An R9 390 typically requires a 6-pin and an 8-pin connector, which a 500W power supply is unlikely to have. A GTX970 on the other hand will usually be just fine with two 6-pin power connectors.

The "bequiet" website says it has 2 "PCI-E 6+2 pin (GPU)" Cabels

thanks so far but.... i still dont know what to buy. The higher VRam isnt that much important?
