thefactory
This is what that stupid vaporware Hercules slider kick starter should have been. I'm always close to pulling the trigger on edlekrone gear and never quite get there. Maybe this time
Thpriest
There are rip-off ProAim versions from India (i think). To be honest I've learnt the hard way that it's better buying quality first time! So has anyone used one with a C100?
ntblowz
Hmm didn't have plug for Sony mirrorless cameras, that one big fail
Thpriest
Or has anyone tried the Proaim Wigo or both?
Ty Harper
This looks really promising. I've been using a Konova slider + basic motion controller. There's a code that allows you to crack the controller so it does continuous back and forth motion which has been great for me. But I agree, you really only need something this wide most of the time. That said the price adds up once you start getting the essential accessories like the legs and stuff. Still, really considering selling my Konova stuff and getting this. The only thing I'm concerned with is long term durability and depending entirely on wireless connectivity and phone power to run it.
Thpriest
Yeah, it'd be interesting to get some feedback from those who have used either of these sliders over a period of time to know how smooth, durable and useful they really are. Ty Harper
I'm assuming no one has the new motion module yet (?)
Ty Harper
Not much of a test but first footage of the motion module in action. He mentions it continues to work even when he's shut the app off. Also says he'll have a proper review up in a bit. The nat sound makes it hard to tell but it seems like a fairly quite motor. Just picked up a used copy of the slider. Any one else pick up the motion module yet?

I've got the iFootage Shark Slider S1, but with a motor, it will cost thousands of dollars, and is unwieldy. I wouldn't use the word 'overkill', because it will produce beautiful results: but if there are budgetary restraints; if you're working in tight quarters; or you don't have an assistant; the Edelkrone is super fantastic. blafarm
Don't know if it is the Edelkrone, the tripod, or the two not being tightly scewed into each other -- but there is a whole lot of sagging going on when that camera is at the extreme ends of the slider. Amro Othman
Looks nice! I like the smooth automation. Wish it was a little longer though, like 50% longer

Ty Harper
More first looks and comments... he also demonstrates the sound of the motor at different speeds... pretty quiet... think I'm sold on getting this now!
Thpriest
I ended up buying the Slider Plus (small). It's fantastic!

dswhite22
Does anyone know the beat setting for shooting a star time lapse. Once you really need to dial in settings the motion module becomes a guessing game.

Kisaha
Brilliant, but too small, for a very light camera and very expensive. I am no ashamed to say that I am waiting for a Chinese version of it.

I am no ashamed to say that I am waiting for a Chinese version of it. It can carry pretty heavy cameras. Ive used it with a 1DC, BMPC4K, 5Dmkiii, etc. It could carry a c100, fs5, etc. But yeah, not meant for a Red One MX or Arri Alexa.
